Scripture readings for Christmas

(Yesterday, 07:50 PM)Ali Imran Wrote:  We know everything about the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم. His interactions with the Jews and the Christians were all documented.

There is no record of the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم ever checking with the Jews or any Christians.

You know everything? So during his dialogues with the christians...what were they debating? Big Grin

Tell me if Allah is confirming corrupted scriptures? Big Grin

We have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ this Book with the truth, as a confirmation of previous Scriptures and a supreme authority on them. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires over the truth that has come to you. To each of you We have ordained a code of law and a way of life. If Allah had willed, He would have made you one community, but His Will is to test you with what He has given ˹each of˺ you. So compete with one another in doing good. To Allah you will all return, then He will inform you ˹of the truth˺ regarding your differences.

Yes, with the Quran, we know what is true in the previous scripture and what is false. The Quran is the confirmation.

I'll give you an example. Why do we believe the son of Mary pbuh wasn't crucified or killed? Because the Quran tell us so.

That should end your attempt to make us think the Bible is authoritative. It is not.

In Islamic tradition, Prophet Muhammad learned about Moses (Musa) primarily through divine revelation and his interactions with the "People of the Book" (Jews and Christians). The Quranic accounts of Moses share similarities with the biblical narrative but also contain unique details and interpretations. Muhammad is said to have confirmed the authenticity of the Torah and Gospel, while also acknowledging differences and highlighting his own revelations.

If you want to prove our Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم checked with the previous scriptures, you need to use our scriptures to do that.

Good luck trying.

In a dialogue between him and the christian delegate...did he not ask questions? Or he simply sit there quietly?

The christians can only replied from what the scriptures said....is Muhammad not checking with previous scriptures?

, "Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?" And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters. And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing

You are the doubter...so here Allah tells us not to doubt but you said Allah said there were falsehood...

Are you clear now that the Quran confirms the falsehood in the Bible? An example is the alleged crucifixion. The Bible says Jesus was crucified but the Quran tells us that the Bible is false on that.

Clear now?

Bart Ehrman's position on the crucifixion only proves the accuracy of the Quranic verse 4:157.

Muhammad argued with the christians because he believes the injil was not in line with his own revelations....is he really not checking with what the previous scriptures say?

Even we, the common people, already know that there are falsehoods in the NT. We already know about the forgery of the Trinity verse and other later additions.

Muhammad needs to understand what the previous scriptures say! That is why he is challenging the christians ....

That is simple common sense...can you and me enage in a debate without understanding each other faith?

I say Jesus is God and you say No...are you not understanding what my scriptures say?

When Allah says that they have tampered with the previous scriptures, which Islamic scholar would go against what Allah says?

Show me where Jesus says he is God. That's a challenge, not asking for lesson.
