Scripture readings for Christmas

But you have nothing to show as proof.

You like making false claims?

If Ishmael set a good example by worshipping Yahweh, would his descendants be worshipping other idols?

Obviously though Jewish writings, he was not worshipping the same God as isaac

You said Ishmael worshiped other gods. I want proof of that from the Bible.

Even though the Ishmaelites were not worshipping the true God but His promise to Ishmael still stand..

So Even if you are not worshipping Yahweh...Yahweh's promise to Ishmael's descendants still stand

Prophet Moses pbuh left the Israelites for just 40 days and upon his return, he found them worshipping the golden calf.

Would you also say Prophet Moses didn't set a good example?

They the Israelites knew who the real God was and God had a convenant with Isaac...did God punish the Israelites?

For Ishmael, it is different, his descendants did not worship God and they are idols worshippers! They are not part of the main convenant God had with Isaac..

Midrash Rabbah (Genesis Rabbah 53:16):
This Midrash discusses Ishmael and mentions that he was involved in idol worship. It states that he and his descendants worshipped idols and that they were not initially followers of the worship of the one true God.

Example: "And Ishmael dwelled in the presence of his mother Hagar in the land of Egypt and of the Ishmaelites, who worshipped idols."
(Genesis Rabbah 53:16)

Talmud (Sanhedrin 89a):
The Talmud notes that Ishmael's descendants engaged in idol worship, implying that their practices were not initially aligned with monotheism.

It discusses that Ishmael's descendants were known for their idolatry, though this is not a direct condemnation of Ishmael himself.

Midrash Tanchuma (Vayera 11):
It mentions that Ishmael was not a worshipper of the true God initially, but through Abraham's influence, some of his descendants eventually turned towards monotheism.

It says Ishmael's descendants, not Ishmael. And nothing in the Bible says Ishmael was worshipping a false god.

So your statement about Ishmael is false. You like making false statements.

Jesus said worship the Father but you worship more than the Father.

All the previous prophets taught their people tawhid but you believe God is a Trinity.

Who do you think is on the wrong path?

Read the bold words! It is clear!

Genesis Rabbah is a Jewish midrash, specifically an expository midrash, that interprets the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Torah...

Tell that to the Jews...do you know Ishmael better than them?

Yes..God blessed Ishmael and made him the father of a great nation but Jewish tradition and later Jewish texts suggest Ishmael's worship practices differed from those of Abraham and his descendants through Isaac....so they are off course, that is why the Quran differs so much from previous scriptures

The God of Prophet Abraham will make the descendants of Ishmael a great nation.

We already agree that a great nation in the sight of God means the people of that nation will worship none but God alone and do His will.

We also already know that the Ishmaelites were worshipping idols, which means that they were not yet a great nation.

So, when did they become a great nation?

Jesus makes claims that He is God and you can only believe in the Triune God after reading the NT

There is not a single verse in the Bible where Jesus said he is God.

I don know...maybe they have yet to become a great nation! The signs are clear nowadays with God raining punishments on the moslems in the middle east .

So when the Pharisees were torturing Jesus, it was God who was raining punishment on Jesus?

It is the destiny of our Lord Jesus to endure suffering for the sake of ignorance.
