Good luck.
IF PM Lee did not impose sanction on Russia.
Singapore is able to buy Russian crude oil and wheat @ 25% discount like India and Germany .
It allows SIA to be more competitive.
Singapore's petrol pump and food prices be lowered and GST hike be postponed further for at least another 3-5 years.
Singaporeans will love PM Lee more.

Does Singapore have any Ruble? Singapore would need to use Ruble to pay for Russia oil and gas, if we want to buy Russia’s stuff.

PM Lee didn't expect the other 9 of 10 Asean nations to stay neutral.
It should be the other 9 Asean nations didn't expect him not to stay neutral.
Of the 48 Asian countries, only 3, Japan, S Korea and Singapore chose to sanction Russia.
I think if LKY is in charge, he won't sanction because LKY himself also considered to attack Johor if Mahathir should cut water supply.
The reason is similar.

Not only we don't get cheap oil, I'm afraid Russia may take other punitive action on us.
To Japan, Russia already suspend the cease war agreement with Japan on the 4 islands northern side of Hokkaido. It means Russia will occupy the 4 islands forever.
Japan PM was shocked and angry.

In G20, PM Lee has to be careful sitting next to President Putin

India and China quietly buying lots of extra cheap oil from Russia. More than what they need.
Then Russia will reduce supply to Europe, making price jump sky high internationally. US producers will of course follow price hikes, selling to American users, causing higher inflation.
China and India will sell “excess” oil in the international markets, making a killing.
All win, except net oil importers. Singapore can only buy the expensive oil.

I wonder the Russians are paying in Roubles, rupiahs or rupees?

He would have anticipated a few to join Singapore in the lead
Sadly, Singapore made a mockery of the grouping.
with his salary package, he qualifies to talk DOWN to ALL other political leaders in the ENTIRE world..

Raise GST further to curb spending, and hence control inflation. Can?

It was a miscalculation but turned out to be in his favour as PM Lee, the only one being invited to meet President Biden in the White house.
The other 9 got no chance.

Biden's meeting PM Lee doesn't strengthen other Asean members position on US or change their views
Instead of talking only to Singapore, Biden should meet the other ,9 members more often.
Singapore is tiny
