increasing bto prices help those who want to sell or need cash now. those who just want to stay no benefits. in fact more cost due to higher property tax.
the next generations pay a lot more for their house. no proportional to their income increased. those who get to inherit house smaller impact. those who don't received the full impact.

increasing property prices looks like benefit all with increased wealth for all owners. but nothing is free the next generations pay for it. drastic increased like now hurts. need to temporary stop pr from buying resale hdb to reduce the price spiral for citizen. need to remove the 5 years occupation period for resale as that means reducing resale supply by 5 years worth of resale housing. again measure was good at the start become bad in current situations.

It is bad policy to price it too high or too Low

Those screaming for cheap flats from Govt will hypocritically want the price to go up when they want to sell.

I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
