SINGAPORE: Singapore’s PayNow and Malaysia’s DuitNow will be linked in phases from the fourth quarter of 2022, allowing customers of participating financial institutions to make real-time funds transfers between the two countries using mobile numbers.

Customers will also be able to make retail payments by scanning NETS or DuitNow QR codes displayed at storefronts

This link-up between 2 countries wil give scammers lots of opportunities. They can hacked into mobile mobile phone and easily clear-up yr money in the Paylah wallet. Worst of it, linking to Paynow directly linked with bank acct might be easily access by scammers too.

This is the third country AFAIK.

India earlier ( https://sgtalk.net/Thread-Singapore-s-Pa...0#pid36790 ).

And Thailand even earlier (posted in the previous sgtalk so no sgtalk link but here's the news: https://www.straitstimes.com/business/ba...t-payments )

I think I will go to money changer change to ringgit to use.

Bank exchange rate is very bad.
