You seem to forget that higher COE premiums affect both car owners and those who do not even have a car. This is  because the cost of doing business will shoot up significantly since all businesses rely on transportation. When businesses increase the prices of their goods and services, the overall cost of living will rise, causing a ripple effect on the economy and affecting everybody in S'pore.

Beside adding to the higher costs of goods and services, COE is part of the components causing high costs of living。

But Singapore leaders choose to ignore COE in any costs of living debates and discussions.
