Singapore interest rates seen edging higher as US hikes are not done yet

SINGAPORE - The United States Federal Reserve delivered on Wednesday its smallest rate hike since last year and acknowledged that US inflation is cooling.

But that does not mean the price pressures seen in Singapore are now in the past and that interest rates here, especially those that affect home loans, will start to ease any time soon.

I got a lousy 2.57% FD rate for 18 months.

Anyway, it's better than 0.05% right.

Not going to be making a profit...with the inflation rate eating the interest up, but at very least, I minimize my loss.

No one posted here because "investment gurus" must never talk about their losses.

To admit that they locked their monies in low interest FD is very the sia suay.
