KYIV, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Ukrainian special forces conducted an amphibious raid on Russian-occupied Kinburn Spit in Black Sea's northwest on Friday, destroying six Russian armoured vehicles & about 3-dozen personnel, Ukrainian intelligence agency said. Russian forces captured southern Ukrainian Mykolaiv region's Kinburn Spit, which juts out into Black Sea, at start of their full-scale invasionin February 2022.

Moscow's military vantage point on the spit is seen as one of the reasons why Ukraine cannot reopen its ports of Mykolaiv & Kherson & export goods from them via Black Sea shipping corridor.
"As a result of a raid on Kinburn Spit occupied by the Russians, 6-units of enemy armoured vehicles were destroyed & about 3-dozen invaders were eliminated," agency said in a statement. Russia's said the raid was repelled, with some of Ukrainian forces foundering on mines, the rest gunned down with firearms, Russia's Interfax news agency reported. Moscow said Kyiv lost 16 "saboteurs" in the operation.

Russia evacuates another border region amid growing threat from Ukrainian units.

Aug 11, 2024. MOSCOW: Monday evacuated parts of a second region next to Ukraine after Kyiv sharply increased military activity at border days after its biggest incursion into sovereign Russian territory as Ukraine rammed through the Russian border on GT Tuesday & swept across some Western parts of Russia's Kursk region, a attack may be aimed at gaining leverage in possible ceasefire talks after US election.

SBU Confirms Largest Attack on Russian Airfields, Targeting Four Bases in Coordinated Assault. According to many of their mother, at least 150 conscripts, their son’s unit all are kill in Kursk killing zone. They all are combat” pay up to 4,500 rubles ($50) a day. She said to their boy was convinced that they will “be sent anyway,” and be kill if they don’t sign, they would face trial.
