It has now moved deeper into Russia in fact, we are carrying out the same militarization of the border regions that we talked about earlier, & fighting, I repeat, subsides & then resumes and not only in Tyotkino itself but also in the neighboring settlements. In general, there is a fairly wide front where we operate. But we are not standing still, we are constantly moving around to inflict unexpected blows on Putin’s military. This is a guerrilla tactic.

Oleksii Baranovsky also noted that there are enough forces to solve the most ambitious and daring tasks.
The Sibir Battalion noted that Russian Federation did not expect an attack, their soldiers hastily left their command post at the border and fled.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, noted that Russian volunteer units on the territory of the Russian Federation act as “independent structures and organizations.”
Soldiers of Freedom of Russia Legion fighting on the side of Ukraine liberated a part of village of Tyotkino in Kursk region. Tyotkino is a village in Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region of Russia. On March 12, it was reported that Russian volunteers from Ukraine had broken through Russian border. Operation also involves soldiers from Sibir Battalion, which includes Yakuts, Buryats, & Russian Volunteer Corps.

Macron doubles down on possible NATO deployment in Ukraine ahead of talks to bridge rift with Germany.

We cannot exclude options,” French President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview, when asked to revisit his controversial comments about the potential deployment of Western troops into Ukraine.
“Security of Euro & the security of the French people is at stake here,” on Friday meets with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin for talks, many hope could silence simmering tensions over Ukraine.

In response to the comments, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, “France is already involved in the conflict in Ukraine and is not averse to increasing its involvement,” according eported by Russian state news agency Tass.

The latest statements by Macron once again risk pitting him against NATO allies, who in February distanced themselves from the possibility of their own national military deployment in Ukraine. The alliance members face separate pressure to increase their defense spending to a previously agreed target of 2% of their national GDP, with two-thirds of members set to meet this objective this year, according to latest projections.

“We has capacity to help Ukraine it needs. We need to show political to do it,” NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stressed in a press briefing.

Ukraine's Security Service blocks supplies of spare parts for Shahed drones and cruise missiles. We are blocking supply chains of components for Russian weapons. One examplewe have already blocked engines for the production of 1,600 Shahed drones and 4,000 microcircuits for cruise missiles.

The Details: Vitiuk said cyber specialists are working in the combat zone to destroy Russian radio-electronic warfare and radio-electronic reconnaissance systems and intercept Russian drones used to direct missile and artillery strikes on Ukrainian forces.

Vitiuk stated that the intelligence gathered by the Cyber Security Department helps prevent human casualties, as does the repulsion of cyber attacks.

He added that during the two years of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the SSU has repelled almost 10,000 cyber attacks, most of which were in the initial stages. The objectives of these cyber attacks varied from reconnaissance to destruction, psychological influence, or a combination.

Vitiuk forecasts that the Russian secret services will increase their cyber-offensive potential, but stressed that the SSU conducts its own special operations in cyberspace.

Ukraine war: No choice for Ukrainians - more Putin means more war.

Holding their breath for the result. The only unknown was how much support Vladimir Putin would claim, and even for him 87% was quite something and   no-one in Ukraine was laughing.

The result on paper, the meaning here is clear: more deadly missile attacks, more drones, more shelling. The full-scale invasion that Vladimir Putin ordered two years ago will go on.

Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelensky, gave his response to the official result last night, describing the Russian leader as "sick with power", he called on Ukraine's allies to ensure Putin was held to account.

"This person must end up on the dock in The Hague," Ukraine's president wrote in English on Twitter, referring to the International Criminal Court.

Putin is already a wanted man in the Hague: the war crimes court has issued an arrest warrant for him, for the forced deportation of children. Kremlin has spent years creating a Putin is Russia. Putin is Mariupol, Bucha and Bakhmut.

Ukrainians in Kyiv on Sunday remembered Russia's deadly attack on Mariupol two years ago where residents were killed sheltering in the theatre.
He's the reason for the rows of fresh graves at every town cemetery.

In the heat of battle, the Su-35 was forced to descend to lower altitudes as the Flanker-E asserted air dominance. This strategic adjustment put the Su-35 directly in the crosshairs of Ukraine’s high-powered mobile & stationary anti-aircraft warfare. Russia’s counterpart to Lenkov divulged to BulgarianMilitary.com.

The hostile environment was indeed the primary cause for the lackluster performance exhibited by Su-35 throughout 2023  till early mths of 2024.

“The dense grid of high-tech air defense systems in Ukrainian airspace presents a formidable challenge, even for superior aircraft like the Su-35,” Russia conceded. By Nov 2023, a total of five Su-35s had been grounded by Ukrainians. In addition, early 2024 brought reports of a Ukrainian Patriot missile team taking down two more Su-35s in combat.

Another factor to bear in mind is possibility of human error. Piloting Su-35 isn’t straightforward. It’s a highly sophisticated aircraft that requires a blend of skill & extensive experience for smooth operation. Inadequate training or a dearth of experience could substantially impact the combat effectiveness of the pilots and, consequently, the aircraft.

Furthermore, it’s important to note that the Su-35’s performance relies on consistent, high-quality maintenance and support. Failure to provide necessary upkeep or interruptions in its supply chain could cause technical issues that might potentially impair its battlefield capabilities.

The new role of the Su-35
The Su-35’s departure from its intended use has prompted a limited but compelling amount of Russian commentary, leading some to label it a failure. Interestingly enough, critics suggest that the Russian air force may have recognized the Su-35’s susceptibility to the likes of the Patriot, IRIS-T, NASAMS, or the S-300. This indicates a shift in approach evident since the start of the year.

Increasingly, Su-35 aircraft has operated in a manner similar to the Su-57, steering clear from front line. Russian forces have effectively utilized the long-range combat capabilities of the Su-35, orchestrating strikes on Ukrainian targets from beyond the horizon. Building on this trend, Russians has “forced Ukrainian fighter jets to operate at lower altitudes”. Consequently, Ukrainian military aircraft become as susceptible as the Su-35. However, unlike Russia, Ukraine has little to no room for losses – they simply cannot afford to lose a fighter jet “so casually”.

Climate of fear’: UN accuses Russia of abuses in occupied Ukraine. In its first in-depth report on the situation in occupied Ukraine, UN says it found evidence of intimidation, arbitrary detention and torture.

Russia has tortured and arbitrarily detained people in the parts of eastern Ukraine it occupies, creating a “climate of fear” and suppressing Ukrainian identity, according to the United Nations.

The UN’s Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU) was denied entry to Russian-occupied Ukraine and based its report on remote and in-person interviews with more than 2,300 witnesses and victims.

Since launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Moscow has seized large tracts of southern and eastern Ukraine and currently occupies just over 17 percent of the country.

Twelve Ukrainian pilots return, but F-16 delivery falls short

Reports from U.S. outlets surfaced earlier this March, revealing plans to ship first six F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine by summer. Training for twelve Ukrainian pilots, slated for completion by summer this year, is currently ongoing in the countries of Denmark, U.S & Britain.

According to several military analysts, the ambiguity surrounding F-16 jets’ delivery schedule is primarily hinged on Ukrainian pilots’ readiness.

Many questions remain unanswered, such as the number of planes each allied country will dispatch, the speed of pilot training, and how Ukraine could muster sufficient manpower for proper aircraft maintenance. Radical brevity defines the training of these pilots, with a curriculum typically spanning several years condensed into mere months.

As Moscow mourns, opinion divided on Ukraine accusations. MOSCOW: On the streets of Moscow on Sunday (Mar 24), there was shock, grief and anger as Russia observed a day of national mourning after the deadliest attack in the country for two decades.

And as mourners laid flowers at tributes and lit candles in churches, there were mixed feelings over President Vladimir Putin's suggestion of a Ukrainian connection to the attack which killed more than 130 concertgoers.

"I'm still in shock," 35-year-old lawyer Ruslana Baranovskaya told AFP on a street running off the capital's famed Red Square. "It's a tragedy that crushed me mentally." Across the square - which was closed to the public - a flag was being flown at half-mast above the Kremlin.

At least 137 people, including three children, were killed when gunmen stormed the Crocus City Hall concert hall on Friday evening, before setting fire to the building.

The Islamic State militant group has claimed responsibility on multiple occasions and published a graphic video of the gunmen carrying out the attack.

Ukraine war briefing: ‘Third of Russia’s Black Sea fleet sunk or crippled’

Ukraine’s navy claims it has sunk or disabled a third of all Russian warships in the Black Sea in just over two years of war. Dmytro Pletenchuk from the navy said the latest strike on Saturday night hit the Russian amphibious landing ship Kostiantyn Olshansky, which was resting in dock in Sevastopol in Russia-occupied Crimea. The ship was Ukrainian before being captured by Russia in 2014.

Pletenchuk previously announced that two other landing ships of the same type, Azov and Yamal, also were damaged in Saturday’s strike along with the Ivan Khurs intelligence ship. He said the weekend attack, using Ukraine-built Neptune missiles, also hit Sevastopol port facilities and an oil depot.

“Our ultimate goal is complete absence of military ships of the so-called Russian Federation in the Azov and Black Sea regions,” Pletenchuk said.
Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, has replaced the secretary of Ukraine’s national security council, Oleksiy Danilov, with Oleksandr Lytvynenko, 51, head of the foreign intelligence service. Danilov had been secretary of the council since October 2019. Zelenskiy said Danilov was being transferred to new duties, with details to be made public later.

“The strengthening of Ukraine and the renewal of our state system in all sectors will continue.”
Ukraine has staged further air attacks on Belgorod, just over the border inside Russia.

The regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported damage on the ground and claimed air defence engaged 18 incoming targets.

Nato is considering shooting down Russian missiles that stray too close to its borders, Poland’s deputy foreign minister, Andrzej Szejna, has told Polish media outlet RMF24.

“[Russia] knew that if the missile moved further into Poland, it would be shot down. There would be a counterattack.” Poland’s armed forces said Russia violated Poland’s airspace on Sunday morning with a cruise missile launched at targets in western Ukraine.

Ukraine’s govt is flooding money into its defence industry, budgeting nearly $1.4bn in 2024 to develop weapons at home – 20 times more than before Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Associated Press has reported.

A huge portion of weapons are being bought from privately owned factories sprouting up across the country, such as a mortar factory in western Ukraine making roughly 20,000 shells a month. To help with labour shortages, the govt has exempted defence industry workers from military service.

CNN news.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko appears to have cast doubt on Russia’s claims that Ukraine was involved in the brutal attack at a Moscow concert hall last week.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the massacre, which killed at least 139 people, and released graphic footage of the incident, but Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly suggested, without evidence, that Ukraine had helped orchestrate it.

Putin on Saturday claimed that a “window” had been prepared for the attackers to escape to Ukraine, which Kyiv has denied.

But Lukashenko, one of Putin’s most loyal allies, on Tuesday appeared to contradict the Kremlin’s claims, saying that the attackers initially intended to enter Belarus rather than Ukraine.

“They could not enter Belarus. Their handlers… knew that it would be a very bad idea to try to enter Belarus, because Belarus immediately reinforced security measures,” Lukashenko said, according to Belarusian news agency Belta.

Ukrainian Ammo Plant Makes 20,000 Shell Casings, Aims for 100,000 a Month - Defense Express

Close look into Ukraine's defense industry: how much of production is delegated to private contractors and what obstacles arise
Interesting details about the Ukrainian defense industry can be found in a new article from Associated Press. The reporters walked the rooms of a reopened mortar plant which had to flee the southeastern part of the country, now occupied by russian invasion forces.

Forced to relocate to the safer western areas, the Melitopol Plant of Motor Tractor Spare Parts (MZAtZ) LLC has transitioned its focus to the production of defense items.

According to the owner of the factory, Anatolii Kuzmin, the enterprise has revamped its facilities to churn out 20,000 casings for artillery and mortar rounds monthly, with aspirations to escalate production to 100,000 casings per month. Additionally, the company plans to diversify its portfolio by venturing into the manufacture of engines and warheads for drones.

One notable aspect highlighted in the article is that the ammunition cases produced by MZAtZ are shipped to neighboring countries to be filled with explosives before going back into Ukraine. Kuzmin said he would like to find a production partner to help him establish an explosives plant domestically.
