TO US!...SAO Trump. Ukraine air force strike of the Ukrainian Su-27 fighter on the Russian command post in Lisichansk means that the pilots managed to successfully break the dense air defense of enemy in occupied territory. This opinion  was expressed by reserve colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan on Channel 24"Lisichansk is a long way off by and larger planes started approaching already pulled up a certain air defense system there covers the direction of Belogorovka. Lisichansk, Lisichansk Oil Refinery, Seversk...", - said Svitan. Suggested Ukrainian Armed Forces could have targeted the command post, for example, with HIMARS missiles.
"The fact that they have already started to approach. They the enemy have been developing an air defense system in the occupied Donbass for 10-11 years. It is very difficult to approach there by planes...", the expert emphasized.
According to him, geographical features of the region are also important, in particular, the mountains, 300-350 meters high, noted Ukrainian warplanes break through Russian defense systems along the frontline.  Ukrainian fighter jets also play a key role in destroying Russian ballistic missiles and drones. A series of Russian ballistic missile attacks on Ukrainian cities have killed dozens of civilians in recent weeks, shaking an already uneasy sense of safety for Ukrainians living far from the front lines.

Updates from Pokrovsk front.
Further developments confirmed what suspected,Iranian fighters are now on the battlefield, fighting for Russia. Ukrainians containing Russian advances unleashing devastating artillery barrages, with the air force growing presence, it reveals just how far Russia is keep its offensive alive, goal of enemy is to widen their western pincer around Pokrovsk. Russian forces in the western pincer are in fire pocket under constant Ukrainian drone strikes & artillery shelling. The western pincer, may create enough of a buffer zone to put their logistics beyond range of Ukrainian precision fire, so that they could restart their flanking maneuver around Pokrovsk.

On May 19, Foreign Policy detailed why experts now believe Russia is on the brink of defeat in Ukraine. Since February 2022 invasion, Russia has lost nearly 976,000 troops to death, injury, or capture & over 10,800 tanks. Territorial gains declined steadily, with only 55–78 square miles claimed March 2025 back. Compounding these losses is stagnating Russia economy, w/inflation nearing 10% & labor shortages projected to reach 2.4 million workers by 2030. Politically, Putin faces growing pressure as ceasefire negotiations stall & public dissatisfaction rises. As Ukraine counter-offensives, suggest Russia’s campaign is not just faltering — may be nearing to collapse till year 2027, then Putin happy can talk about peace talk a chance to begin. Big Grin

Yes, that's a widely acknowledged statistic. Up to 8 million Ukrainians served in Red Army during WWII.
This number reflects a significant contribution to the Soviet war effort against Nazi Germany, encompassing both soldiers and civilians. Additionally, many Ukrainians also served in Allied armies and partisan units, further highlighting their involvement in resisting the Nazi regime.

Today, there are a lot of action from Kursk direction. Here, Ukrainian special forces struck deep into forests of Belgorod, far behind enemy lines. Using forests, weather, shrewd & planning, they expertly evaded Russian detection, not allowing Russian forces a single moment of peace. Their goal of Ukrainians in this area is to pin down Russians and drain their reserves in the Kursk and Belgorod frontline sectors. This way, they can prevent Russian redeployment, locking them in place & buying time for Ukrainian forces in eastern Ukraine to prepare for and counter the Russian summer offensiveUkrainian troops struck deep into the forests of Russia’s Belgorod Oblast & behind the contact line to forus enemy to hold positions in Belgorod and Kursk.

The Soviet TM-62M anti-tank mine is highly deadly due to its large explosive charge of approximately 7.5 km of TNT. Its designed to destroy armored vehicles by detonating under a pressure of 150 to 550 kilograms & blast can penetrate tank hulls & cause fatal damage to tracked & wheeled military vehicles. Tongue

This is his idea to create the ukulele came during his work. In civilian life, Andrii was a professional musician and sound engineer. He played in bands and recorded in studios. In 2014, to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he became another volunteer auto mechanic. When Russia / Putin invasion the Ukraine, full-scale war began, he voluntarily joined the 128th brigade & became a sapper.
In June 2022, Andrii started to repaired wires in minefields in Donetsk were often cut under fire, he risking his life daily on combat missions. But In spring 2023, during a counteroffensive, he stepped on an anti-personnel mine and lost his foot. But even the injury didn’t break his will.
During rehabilitation, music helped him overcome phantom pain, keep his spirit up.  8-months after I learned to walk with a prosthesis & returned to battalion to continue mine clearance... Clapping

He hopes: Modern Ukrainian generation will be able to achieve something on war front. If past generations didn’t fully resolve this issue, he simply wants to finish his job. Clapping

At least 8 were injured as multiple waves of explosions rocked Kyiv overnight on May 24 during a massive Russian drone & missile attack. Two were injured in the Dniprovskyi district, other wounded were treated in Sviatoshynskyi and Obolonskyi districts, Kyiv Mayor reported. In Solomianskyi district, 4 people suffered acute reaction to stress. At least two of the injured were hospitalized.

Since the start of its full-scale invasion, Russia has routinely used missiles and drones to strike Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, first explosions in Kyiv were reported around 10 p.m. on May 23, the same day Ukraine and Russia began their largest prisoner exchange, with 390 Ukrainians returned that day, President Zelensky said. Drone debris then fell in the Holosiivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts, Kyiv officials said. Another wave of explosions was heard at around 1 a.m. local time, as Ukraine's Air Force earlier warned there is a threat of ballistic missile and drone strikes against several regionsLater in the night, missile debris was reported in the Obolonskyi district, while in the Solomianskyi district, drone fragments struck a residential building causing a fire. A non-residential building caught fire in Sviatoshynskyi district following the attack. Meanwhile, a 54-yr-old man & a 50-yr-old woman were injured in a Russian drone attack on Kyiv Oblast’s Brovary district on May 23, local time reported. Both sustained shrapnel wounds to thigh were hospitalized. crying

The 2nd night is not easy, as enemy using large number of drones & missiles,
debris from a falling drone struck a student dormitory in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district, causing a fire, 4 people r injured & received medical treatment on the spot, another person injured in Desnianskyi district received medical attention too, while 2nd victim in the area was hospitalized, houses in
city's Dniprovskyi district was also damaged. Kyiv City Military reported that a young woman in the district was injured with a broken leg. Business center was damaged according to the administration. 11 injured victims range  age from 18 to 62, said. Klitschko said

In Kyiv a building in Kyiv damaged by a Russian overnight attack on May 25, 2025. Outside the capital, 3 people in Kyiv Oblast were killed in the attacks and 10 more suffered injuries. In Kharkiv, Mayor reported drones struck 3-city's districts. As Russian target civilian enterprise in business centre & damaged office building was hit in the district.
Glass shattered in some apartment buildings. Terekhov said. A child was injured by glass fragments and is receiving medical treatment. A mayor of Konotop in Sumy, said Russia's overnight barrage was most massive & combined attack on our city since 2nd WW war.
Drones and missiles also hit multiple areas in the city of Chernihiv and the surrounding region, the State Emergency Service reported. Fires broke out at storage facilities & about non-residential buildings, covered over 1,000 sq meters & about casualties and damage is still being investigated.

Ternopil, a western city less frequently targeted by Russian attacks, a Kalibr cruise missile struck an industrial facility and caused a fire, according to Governor Viacheslav Nehoda. Casualties and damage were also reported in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. Governor Serhii Tiurin said the attacks killed four people in the region and injured five others, in addition to destroying civilian infrastructure. Poland scrambled fighter jets and activated air defenses, as it has previously done to secure its airspace during large-scale Russian attacks on Ukraine. The previous night, Russia launched a large-scale drone and missile attack against Kyiv, injuring at least 15 people. The strikes caused explosions throughout the city and damaged residential buildings.

Russia continues to target residential neighborhoods in increasingly deadly aerial assaults while the Kremlin remains openly dismissive of international calls for a ceasefire. It’s terrorism’ — Russia launches one of the heaviest strikes on Kyiv during full-scale war. Ukraine's new drone strategy — cripple Moscow's airports, make Russian population 'pay'

Ukraine launching drone strikes across Russia to demo war is everyone's business. The focus on Moscow & surrounding region intended to increase pressure on Russian leadership.

Aviation expert leading researcher at the National Aviation University Valeriy Romanenko told  about this . He noted Kiev does not carry out targeted strikes on one plant, for eg, drones or spare parts, b'cos"most drones are shot down while still approaching target." The interlocutor specified that UAVs can fly in different directions, sometimes at one target, but not in such masses as to completely destroy them. "It is clear they are not launched at one object. So far, it known, they are trying to show Russians as much as possible that war is not only on TV ," Romanenko added.

According to the expert, strikes on various regions — from Moscow to Bryansk, Kursk, Crimea — are aimed not only at physically damaging objects, but also at psychologically influencing the population. He noted due to air defense actions, drones can be deflected from their targets, even hit residential areas, which helps dispel illusion of security among Russian residents. "Anyone can be under attack. Russians believe war is there, in Donbass, therefore it does not concern them. And when it flies, let's say, at a military facility, you understand that next time, b'cos of electronic warfare, it could fall on your house ," he said. The aviation expert noted political leadership of Russia is most influenced by the opinions of residents of Moscow and the region, which why Ukraine concentrating some of its strikes on these regions.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the massive Ukrainian drone strike from May 20 to 23, 1,177 drones were shot down, 788 of which were outside the active combat zone.
Earlier, media reported that on the night of May 23, Russia was again subjected to a massive attack by attack UAVs. Strikes were reported in Ryazan, Ivanovo, Tula and the suburbs of Moscow. This number reflects a significant contribution to the Soviet war effort against Nazi Germany, encompassing both soldiers & civilians. Additionally, many Ukrainians also served in Allied armies and partisan units, further highlighting their involvement in resisting the Nazi regime.

Germany to help finance Ukrainian-made long-range systems — but no word on Taurus. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz ® and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky give a joint press conference at the Chancellery in Berlin on May 28, 2025.

Germany and Ukraine will sign a memorandum on the joint purchase of "long-range fires" manufactured by Ukraine, German. There will be no restrictions on long-range weapons, Ukraine will be able to fully defend itself. "This is the beginning of a new form of military-industrial cooperation between our countries, which has significant potential."

The meeting between Merz and Zelensky was preceded by speculation that Germany would finally reverse its long-held policy of not sending Taurus missiles to Kyiv over fears of escalating the war against Russia. Speaking at the conference, Merz evaded answering a direct question about potential Taurus deliveries and refused to discuss military support for Ukraine in detail. "We will continue our military support and expand it," Merz said.

Before becoming chancellor, Merz, elected for the CDU/CSU conservative alliance, signaled he would overturn a ban on Taurus deliveries imposed by his predecessor, Social Democrat Olaf Scholz. Ukraine has been using U.S.-made ATACMS for over a year, and U.K.-French Storm Shadows for more than two. Only in late 2024, the Biden administration and other allies eased the restrictions, allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russian military targets on Russian
