Ukraine’s 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade in Russia’s Kursk Oblast have captured a Russian soldier from the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet who witnessed execution of soldiers from Ukraine’s defence forces. The Russian marine is reported to have fairly lengthy combat experience. In October 2022, while serving a sentence in a Russian prison, he agreed to sign a contract with Wagner Group. As a member of the Wagner units, he initially took part assault on the settlements of Soledar & Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast. In June 2023, he took part in Wagner coup – the "march" on Moscow organised by Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.

In June 2024, Pitkevich signed a new contract. He joined 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Federation. In August, the brigade was redeployed to Kursk Oblast, he took direct part in combat actions as an assistant grenade launcher.
& end of September, he witnessed the killing of two Ukrainian prisoners of war near the village of Glushkovo. According to Pitkevich, the order for their execution & subsequent beheading was given by the unit commander.

CNN — Biden has lifted a de facto ban on U S.A. military contractors deploying to Ukraine to help country’s military maintain & repair US-provided weapons systems, particularly F16 fighter jets & Patriot air defense systems, an official with direct knowledge of the plan told CNN. The new policy, approved earlier this mth be4 the election, would allow Pentagon to provide contracts to American companies for work inside Ukraine for the first time since Russia invaded in 2022. Officials said they hope it will speed up the maintenance and repairs of weapons systems being used by the Ukrainian military. Its not clear whether Trump will keep the policy in place when he takes office in Jan. Trump has said he hopes to end war between Ukraine & Russia “within 24 hours” of returning to power.

“In order to help Ukraine repair, maintain military equipment provided by US its allies, DoD (Dept of Defense) is soliciting bids for a small number of contractors who will help Ukraine maintain the assistance we’ve already provided,” official said.
“These contractors will be located far from the front lines and they will not be fighting Russian forces. They will help Ukrainian Armed Forces rapidly repair and maintain US provided equipment as needed so it can be quickly returned to the front lines.”

Germany, China expected to discuss war in Ukraine, North Korean troops next week.

Pentagon confirmed on Nov. 13 that North Korean soldiers had begun engaging in combat alongside Russian troops in Kursk Oblast. The announcement followed reports that Russia is mustering a force of 50,000 soldiers, including North Korean troops.
