(Russian nearer to Kyiv) All depend on which part as near or can be a few meter away to Kyiv. (For eg: shortest distanct between Kiev >Kursk is about 261 mi (420.km).  Rotfl

The elite Ukrainian units backed by NATO-supplied weaponry r pushing deeper into Belgorod, Ukrainians are not only fighting; leading charge, but now a fierce group of Colombian stormtroopers. Reports that the U.S. could formally give de jure recognition to Russia's control over Crimea have landed like a bombshell in Kyiv, with lawmakers unanimous in their opposition to such a move, as well as issuing grave warnings about its potential consequences. "(The potential recognition of Crimea's annexation) sets a very dangerous precedent that could plunge the world into numerous wars," Volodymyr Ariev, a lawmaker with the European Solidarity Party, told the Kyiv Independent. "Ukraine should not side with those intending to violate the fundamental principles established after World War II," he added.

Trump admin's final proposal for ending the Russia-Ukraine war included U.S. de jure recognition of Russia's control over Crimea, along with de facto recognition of its occupation of other Ukrainian territories, Axios reported on April 23, citing sources. Announcement was made by country’s Minister of Defense, Ruben Brekelmans, who reported to delivery of a Patriot system & new commitments to supply I-Hawk air defense systems, aimed strengthening Kyiv’s ability to withstand Russian attacks. 23 April, 20250

It's worth recalling togo with Denmark & Norway, the Netherlands has pledged a total of 65 U.S.-made F-16 MLU fighter jets to Ukraine, 24 of them coming from the Dutch Air Force, (Dutch move to advanced F-35 Lightning II stealth aircraft.) Along w/aircraft, a significant package of spare parts supplies has also been delivered to ensure that Ukrainian Air Force can properly maintain them—an aid package previously valued at $550 million. Important to note announcement comes days after confirmed downing of a second Ukrainian F-16 in combat, they acknowledged on April 12, a significant development, considering Ukraine’s inventory of aircraft grows, pilot training—conducted by multiple European allies—progresses, Kyiv opted to give fighter jets a more prominent role in combat missions, notable enhancement for an air force long relied on aging MiG-29s, Su-27s, & Su-24s, many is getting old.

The minister commented on situation as follows: “Two weeks ago, I saw with my own eyes the massive destruction caused by Russian airstrikes in Dnipropetrovsk. Civilians and innocent children are targeted everyday. These systems can save lives are therefore invaluable to Ukrainian people. We are answering to President Zelensky’s call.”In technical terms & I-Hawk systems in question can provide Kyiv w/significant capability to neutralize a wide range of aerial threats, with estimated engagement range of up to 40 km, an altitude ceiling of 18 km. Missiles they employ are equipped w/high-explosive fragmentation warheads can maximize destructive impact, allowing them to intercept aircraft, ballistic missiles & unmanned systems, feature substantial detection capabilities, including high-power AN/MPQ-51 radars & AN/MPQ-50 pulse acquisition radars—both enhanced w/electronic warfare elements to improve resistance against enemy jamming.
