Beside to anyone with a brain ish know that Taiwan alone will not be able to defend herself against an invasion from CCP regardless their wills to fight. In fact without foreign aid, CCP just need to apply a blockage on Taiwan isle and they will need to surrender eventually after all their supplies ran out. So they do need foreign supports to survive regardless ish arms or actual military alliances, and even just diplomatic supports, and US ish the only country in the world nao that can match a CCP level of military threat.

So ish just a fact that Taiwan have to rely on US to survive, be it just arm sales or direct military intervention.
