The Dysfunctional Society Created By The PAP
#31

PAP is too focused on short term gains and forgot about the social costs they bring.

Many things cannot be left to market forces. The govt must ensure that basic needs are met at a reasonable price and that the rich are not hoarding all the resources. Of cos, the governing elites belong to the rich and hence they will not see a need to shoot themselves in the foot by implementing harsh measures that disadvantaged themselves. I don't see much hope of an improvement until the govt knows that it stands a good chance of being voted out.

Is it $200 a year? Any other announcements after this?

Finance Minister Mr Lawrence Wong recently announced at Budget 2022 that the Community Development Councils (CDCs) will be giving three new tranches of the CDC Vouchers Scheme from 2022 to 2024 to support Singaporeans during difficult times. This is in addition to the $100 in CDC vouchers that every Singaporean household is eligible for, announced in Budget 2021.

In May 2022, the CDCs will distribute $100 worth of CDC Vouchers 2022 to each Singaporean Household to help in daily expenses as part of the Household Support Package. You can use the vouchers to purchase goods and services from participating hawkers and heartland merchants.

Okay found the info. You’re right, for 2023 and 2024 it’s $200 for each year.

$200 more in vouchers will be disbursed in early 2023, and another $200 in 2024, with major supermarkets roped in for the next two years.

I will refer this person so he gets his meals.

Base on Develop Country Standard

Govt must provide 3 Healthy Meals

Full coverage for all GPs

And also a good job for own citizens

PAP has already starved us physically.

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

You think those complaining are living in AMK SERS block

or you guess that they complain because their HDB has low value

as 99 years is round the corner?

Social effects take a longer time to show the dire situation therefore, often neglected by this Govt. Once the subtle signs of scams, robbery, fights, poverty . . . All starts to surface will be late to reverse.
