Basing on probability theory it is not myth and it works. The last case of corruption was sometime in 1980+ while LKY was on watch and that was about 40 years ago. Now lets say we have another confirmed case, so the probability of corruption in Singapore is less than 1%.
This is not that I agree to their astronomical salaries, what I am saying is a good decent salary does reduces corruption. I think Singapore's ministers' salaries can be reduced by half and this probability theory still works.

Yes, he might think he is not corrupting in terms of monies but just accept special treatment and offers as a VVIP. But the impact of such a corrupt move could result in potentially hundreds of millions of tax payers being wasted in allowing such contracts.

Such an act is much worse than Teh Cheang Wan who only obtained $500Kx2 times as kickbacks.

This is why public servants, esp those at senior rank must not accept any gifts or favours above certain amount or without declaration and seeking approval due to the repercussions.

I suspect OBS, who is a known womanizer and like to rub shoulders with the upper echelons of the Gov by working around the laws has become a thorn in the flesh for PAP, rub til PM Lee dulan already and now is the most opportune time to nab this bugger using Iswaran as a scapegoat once he sexposed himself.
