Most of the village food fare (anything off the beaten track actually) is inedible (imho).
My erstwhile colleague say come try recommend the food there once during lunch. Except for him and fellow tiongs, none of us touched the food. We were all famished by dinner time and went straight to KFC at the shopping mall.
You may also be surprised, HDL in china is just considered meh..... Not revered as atas as it is in sg.
