It isn't merely 1-way traffic. Dominic Tan is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Malaysia Super League club Sabah. He was born in S'pore, but plays for the Malaysia national team because professional soccer pays far better north of the Causeway.

Hotels in JB will naturally have fewer people. The tourists are mainly Singaporeans. Who else stays in JB hotels? Foreign tourists will go to Penang and other areas.

There are an estimated 1.16 million Malaysians working in S'pore, and the number is growing. They are taking far more jobs (though many are blue collar) from locals than CECAs.

Many became Naturalised Citizens/ PR. They are a part of us, eventhough some harbour deep grudges.

Malaysian Chinese are drawn to Singapore's international system and the potential for financial gain.
But they love the big land in Malaysia, in which, they unfortunately don't have a say over there. Torn between 2 lovers..🤣

My cousin and his wife worked in S'pore for decades, retired in their mid-50s and recently returned to Ipoh where they have a sprawling bungalow and 2 cars. My parents came here from Malaysia in the 1960s, graduated from the S'pore University and became S'pore citizens. I was born here.

Wherever one comes from over to Singapore doesn't matter. We are a Global City Nation. Our Ancestors were immigrants too.

As long as one becomes a Singaporean citizen. We are one people, belong to this land.

The decision to work, live, or migrate to another location is a personal preference that should be respected without judgment.

As a true Global City, people comes and goes. All are welcome 😊

So far there are 6 millions people living in this tiny island, we are thriving at full capacity. All is well..👍
