In the first place, China don't go conquer those countries and rob them of their resources then hypocritically say give them sovereignty and independence. 

But it looks like China wants to badly annex Taiwan, by armed force if necessary........why not allow Taiwan to maintain status quo.............?

If you talk abt sovereignty, then, Britain can just simply take over all those countries that is previously under British rule. At least, UK is more like a gentleman. Being a Chinese, I felt very shameful on China.

You are rather childish, no country with competent govt will allow any part of territory to leave.

There is one thing proving how evil is China. By isolating Taiwan and inciting other countries to cut off relations with Taiwan. This is really evil. One man meat is another man poison. A person can be enemy with one person, but, not necessary an enemy to others.

Many people who supported Taiwan to be independent seem to forget that both states (China & Taiwan) was once a country in itself.

Back in the 50 - 80’s, when China was down and out then. Taiwan has been claiming to the world that China belongs to them back in those days. Now that China has gained in both wealth and power, everybody began to cry foul on China for bullying Taiwan. How convenient?

More so when many people did not think that China was able to gain such power within such a short period of times (20-30yrs) thinking that a communist country can never be better than a democratic country. As we were always being told of, but China has proven and debunked those claims. 

And the irony was that in the past 20-30 yrs many foreign countries had gained so much out of China. Indirectly had “helped” China to grow to their current state, this include the Americans & Brits. 

For those who “reminisce” to be colonised by the Brits, I guess the mentality of these people simply like to serve under the rules of the Caucasians that they simply can’t give up that habits. While LKY and his team of members had fought hard for our independence, because we want to rule our own lives. Not under any foreign rules. Just my opinion.
