More like a cease fire. Each party lower their tariff to allow some essential trade flow rather than to withdraw the entire trade tariff.

Just an agreement to carry on talking.  Nothing else. But the US has portrayed it as a big breakthrough.  Intention is obvious - to boost the US stockmarket and placate the American public. Laughing

There will never be a conclusive trade deal. One side want to depress the other from progressing. The other one don’t want to lose in the trade deal and wants to go back to status quo. 

So no conclusive trade deal. Wanna bet?

US must buy from China, the world factory. Even 30% tariffs, US consumers pay.    

China can stop buying wheat, beef, etc from US. US farmers cry.      

China can buy from Brazil, Argentina, Aussie, NZ, etc.
