It's reactionary
When the dust settles Americans will realise that the tarrifs is actually good for the US tp revive manufacturing base
You will see many many old abandoned factories across the US restarted and jobless Americans return to production lines

The financial benefits of onshoring manufacturing will offset any potential recession in the US economy & start to reduce its spiralling debt
The US cannot continue to consume more & produce less. Neither can it continue to live with a spiralling debt.

Not really. Those jobless skilled workers are long gone as globalism has been going on for 20-30 years. In order to bring back factories to the U.S., it has to firstly train new workers to acquire lost skills and it takes years to set up factories and decades to build up supply chains. All these have to be done gradually step by step, it is impossible to take place overnight, it won’t become reality even after Trump finishes his term.
What Trump did is insane. If the U.S. is a very week & sick old man in ICU, Trump went ahead and did a major surgery and remove all the major damaged organs in one go without transplants, 30 mins after the surgery, the sick man passes away.😱😳😩

Trump needs a 20 year plan to turn around but he only has 4 years in office and he is already 79, not many years left.
