2024 will be Year when Americans starts to disagree with US Gov in banning TikTok and BYD.. Big Grin

You can’t buy the Seagull in the US. But I bet you wish you could.
A small hatchback around the size of a Mini Cooper, the Seagull is a fast-charging electric car and claims a range of up to 250 miles (at least according to its home country’s generous tests); BYD, its Chinese manufacturer, claims it can go from 30 percent to 80 percent charged in a half-hour using a DC plug. It’s hardly a luxury car but it’s well-equipped, with a power driver’s seat and cruise control. “If I were looking for an inexpensive commuter car … this would be perfect,” veteran car journalist John McElroy said after taking a drive.

If Americans hold up banners to protest about made in China cars, they may find that over 90% of those banners will have labels that read "Made in China". Hahaha!

The US president, Joe Biden, has announced a 100% tariff on Chinese-made electric vehicles as part of a package of measures designed to protect US manufacturers from cheap imports. Sources said the move followed a 4-year review (under Biden administration)and was a "preventive measure" designed to stop "cheap subsidised" Chinese goods flooding the US market...

The US people are angry because they think they lose jobs due to unfair competition. Isn't the Chinese people angry when they thought the US was unfair to impose tariffs and at the same time, pull out their industries, making China lose jobs?

Everyone will lose a job or position in this days-an-age...The problem isn't about that or technology changes, but rather some refuse to adapt, advance or get educated.
There is a age-old Chinese saying that indirectly warns those who fail to "发奋图强"....You are a victim of your laziness  and complacency.

Does this sound familiar to some SGtalker ? Big Grin
