They are originally from Southeast Asia and migrated to South Pacific, they are closely related to Malays.

People assume Aussie cities are all the same, deadly wrong lah….only Sydney and Melbourne are the melting pot of different cultures, other cities are not, even for 2nd tired cities like Brisbane and Perth, you won’t find tons of Asian, Italian, Greek, Russian and Lebanese restaurants in the city, and people there are not open minded.

Looks vastly different to me. The abos in Oz looks like those abos from Kalahari desert especially that actor in The God must be Crazy. Forgot his name..........

In some towns people are very conservative, the buildings are 200 year old British style. The design of the town is like 18th century type…I visited Bendigo (a mining town outside Melbourne), it is like going back to 1860 Gold Rush era.

There are a lot of Asians living in Perth, Darwin and Christmas Island. The culture up north in Darwin is mixture of Aboriginal and Southeast Asian. The weather there is like in Spore, hot and humid.

You are applying Sinkie now against our father (or father's father generation) when the Island is sold..
Our father/father's father generation are way more hardworking then you can imagine now..
Work in mining?? No problem.. Back in those days, even our sewage are serviced by them..

Nowadays is not easy, in order to pass point test, you must live in a remote area for a year or two to get higher points to succeed….that is why you see many foreigners move to small towns with population of 5k 200km away from Melbourne where there is no job, must work at petrol station while waiting for visa processing.

Getting confused. This mothership article say that it belong to British colony and the sales was between UK and Aussie..
https://mothership.sg/2018/03/christmas-...-to-spore/
But based on this Assuie govt website, it say "island was excised from Singapore and sovereignty was transferred to Australia", which support idea that the island belong to Singapore..
Anyway, in 1957-1958, Singapore is still under UK control so not wrong to say it is a sale from UK to Assie..

Annual intake used to be 320k and now only has 160k per year, no change for year 2022.
The next financial year’s Migration Program will have an overall planning level of 160,000 places, including 79,600 places for the skill stream and 77,300 places for the family stream.

One of the reasons then was becoz a very large % of Singaporeans were illiterate ie lowly educated.
Even after 55 years of independence, Singapore is lowly ranked No. 75 in World's Literacy Index.
What's wrong with this govt?

96+% quite ok leow lah, considering our short development history and longer lifespans than other places. In fact, the top 136 countries/territories have a literacy rate of above 90%. The top 110 have a literacy rate of above 95%. Places like Taiwan and Hong Kong are ranked lower than Singapore.
