Resign your head lah.
This is politic, dirty trick.
If he really resign, means he really admit it.

I believe many opposition supporters will switch to PSP TCB, if LTK still refuse to save WP.

CMIO issue is raised recently, WP moving towards wokism ideal, bad for conservative Singaporean voters.

Especially for the majority race, they will not risk the current CMIO ratio by putting trust into a wokism party that fights for minority.
We seen this trend in worldwide elections.

Only LTK can put opposition supporters heart at ease and trust WP again.

I already give up WP for the sake of my children and Singaporean's future.

We are living in a Malay archipelago region by and large, and cannot be change.
Never shake our CMIO, EIP system that assured harmony for 60 years.

All races in Singapore will suffer when we lose that unique magic creates by our ancestors.
I wish our next generations all the best, for the choice they are heading.
Their future will determine the ultimate consequences, both positive and negative.

If he remains in WP leadership
WP needs his talent
No other talent can replace him
Let  the voters who demand good quality of  leadership in the first world country decide in the coming general election .

This is such a poor use of resources. To pursue a politician leader for months and years for defending his subordinate and later himself over matters that doesn’t benefit tax payers nor the future of Singapore.

I still have alot of respect for PS perhaps even more. This guy has got the courage and loyalty. I believe the whites would have thrown their own under the bus or kept themselves away.

This is why I say they are very foolish.
Most ppl will think that a bully is a bully.
Now this era, it is no longer mainstream media can control the freedom of speech lah… ppl can make their own judgement. 是非对错,自有公理。
If Ah Singh is smart enough, he should play sympathy card.

WP is a good Oppositions Party with many credible, eloquent and talented candidates. Just that LTK hv chosen the wrong Secretary General who cannot leads the Party well. Chosen 1 wrong candidate like RK can made the whole Party collapsed.

The whites are no better. It would be ignorant and childish to say they have never told any lies ever before. Politics is dirty.

Who protected that mangoes grabbing pervert for several years even when his affair was known way back in 2018? Let him still retain his position at an elevated level of Speaker some more?

Only because of the hot mike fcuking populist comment he sabo himself, when obviously his position became untenable was he then thrown under the bus Big Grin

Trust is the most valuable intangible asset in a political party.
The relationship between the 2 is baffling without logic.
From standing by to throwing under the bus, when things go wrong.

Trust within inside to externally collapse immediately. That is the current mess in WP. What a shame 😞

They could have just sent him an official warning or reminder about the code of conduct but no, some people wanted to look wise and use the law but not common sense. They knew PS was lying, everyone knows. C'mon. PS knows what he is doing. The fact is, why drag it out.

Source: The Online Citizen

Published: 17 February 2025

Author: The Online Citizen

Article Summary:

Theme: The article reports on the conviction of Workers' Party (WP) chief Pritam Singh for lying to the Committee of Privileges (COP) in relation to the false anecdote shared by former WP MP Raeesah Khan in Parliament.

Core Points:

- Pritam Singh was convicted of two charges under the Parliament (Privileges, Immunities and Powers) Act for providing false testimony to the COP in December 2021.

- The charges stemmed from Singh's statements regarding his interactions with Raeesah Khan after she admitted to lying in Parliament about a personal experience.

- The court found that Singh's testimony was "uncorroborated and unbelievable."

Phenomenon:

- The article highlights the legal consequences of Singh's conviction, including the potential for disqualification from Parliament and its impact on the WP's standing ahead of the next general election.

- The article also touches upon the potential political implications of the case, with some voters possibly perceiving the conviction as politically damaging and others seeing it as an example of bullying tactics by the ruling party.

Key Findings from the Judge's Verdict:

- The judge ruled that Singh did not intend for Khan to correct her false statement in Parliament, accepting Khan's claim that Singh had advised her to "take it to the grave" during a meeting with WP leaders.

- The judge highlighted inconsistencies in Singh's statements and actions, suggesting that he did not genuinely intend to push for the truth to be revealed.

- The judge found that Singh deliberately misled the COP, stating that his claims of wanting Khan to come clean were "a lie he wilfully told."

- The judge dismissed the defense's attempts to discredit Khan's testimony, finding that all versions consistently indicated that WP leaders did not instruct Khan to clarify her falsehood.

Sentencing and Political Implications:

- Singh faces a potential jail term of up to three years, a fine of up to S$7,000, or both for each charge.

- The prosecution has indicated it will seek only a fine, but the judge is not bound by this recommendation.

- The case could impact the WP's standing ahead of the next general election, with potential implications for both the party and Singaporean politics.
