Worker party Singapore fighting cost of living for Singaporeans
Meta AI: The Workers' Party (WP) in Singapore has been actively addressing the issue of cost of living, which is a major concern for many Singaporeans. Here are some ways the WP has been fighting for a more affordable Singapore:
1. *Housing*: WP has advocated for affordable housing options, including increasing the supply of HDB flats, reducing prices, and improving the affordability of housing loans.
2. *Transportation*: WP has called for reduced public transportation costs, improved services, and increased affordability for low-income households.
3. *Healthcare*: WP has pushed for more affordable healthcare options, including reducing medical costs, increasing subsidies, and improving access to healthcare services.
4. *Education*: WP has advocated for reduced education costs, including lower tuition fees, more affordable school expenses, and increased financial assistance for low-income families.
5. *GST and taxes*: WP has called for a review of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other taxes to ensure they are fair and equitable, and do not disproportionately burden low- and middle-income households.
6. *Wage protection*: WP has advocated for policies to protect workers' wages, including progressive wage policies and stronger labor protections.
7. *Social safety nets*: WP has pushed for improved social safety nets, including more comprehensive financial assistance schemes and support for low-income households.
8. *Price controls*: WP has called for price controls on essential goods and services to prevent profiteering and ensure affordability.
9. *Increased funding*: WP has advocated for increased funding for social programs and services to support low-income households and address the root causes of poverty.
10. *Policy reforms*: WP has pushed for policy reforms to address the root causes of the high cost of living in Singapore, including the impact of urbanization, gentrification, and income inequality.
By addressing these key areas, the Workers' Party aims to make Singapore a more affordable and equitable place for all citizens.
Meta AI: Yes, here are some evidence and resources that support the Workers' Party's efforts to address the cost of living in Singapore:
1. _Parliamentary speeches and debates_: WP MPs have consistently raised concerns about the cost of living in Parliament, proposing solutions and questioning government policies.
2. _WP's alternative budgets_: The party has presented alternative budgets, outlining their proposals for addressing the cost of living, such as increasing funding for social programs and reducing taxes for low- and middle-income households.
3. _Policy papers and reports_: WP has published policy papers and reports on specific issues, like housing affordability, transportation costs, and healthcare expenses.
4. _Media coverage_: Various media outlets have reported on WP's initiatives and proposals to address the cost of living.
5. _Public statements and press releases_: WP has issued public statements and press releases highlighting their concerns and proposed solutions.
6. _Town hall meetings and public forums_: WP has organized town hall meetings and public forums to engage with citizens and discuss the cost of living.
7. _Petitions and campaigns_: WP has launched petitions and campaigns to raise awareness and mobilize support for their proposals.
Some specific examples include:
- WP's 2020 Alternative Budget Proposal, which included measures to reduce housing costs, improve transportation affordability, and increase support for low-income households.
- WP MP Sylvia Lim's 2019 parliamentary speech on the high cost of living, where she proposed measures to address housing affordability and transportation costs.
- WP's 2018 policy paper on healthcare affordability, which proposed reforms to reduce medical costs and improve access to healthcare services.
These resources demonstrate the Workers' Party's commitment to addressing the cost of living in Singapore and provide evidence of their efforts to propose solutions and engage with citizens on this critical issue.

Imagine pap are the criminals that held Singaporeans hostage ( cpf and reserves)
Opposition in the parliament are crisis negotiators prepare to engage in a reasonable and fair and peaceful way to help improve the situation.
Pap during negotiations they requested
1. you wear a green hat or you stripe nake and do the pole dancing in open air carpark
If Ans is no they start to kill the hostage (withheld longer period on cpf with shifting age limit or use less of the reserve or any how waste the money like building white elephant structure)
How?

Simple, when our Singapore Coalition Government WP leader only spends money without earning.
Sure will empty right?
Same as you only spends your bank savings without thinking about depositing money into it. Can or not?🤭

Your thread specifying their ideas 💡 on spending money in Singapore social welfare right? Very good 👍
I am suggesting they should also suggest how they can earn money 💰 for Singapore as our coalition government leader.
Increase our reserves will be even more brilliant 👏 Cheers!
Sure kick out PAP in coming GE..🤣

Now you get it👍
So WP must lay out their plan how to finance their wonderful proposals..👏
As you know too, eg; collect more taxes. 😊
So WP will present a better detailed plan to increase social welfare expenditure and at the same time increase taxation or other income avenue to finance it.
Much more convincing and practical. Singaporean will be impressed and kick out PAP...Yea!!!

The only strategy to win against PAP is to form a Coalitiion Party. But, I know WP is too selfish and wants to stand alone. WP simply wants to hv the whole pie for themselves. This way, Oppositions wud be tough to hv a majority.
