The jobless pundek claims to be an EV expert and claim that Xiaomi released its cars too early like he is an expert on manfacturing.  Laughing

Because he is of Indian descent and hates Chinese due to racism.  Simple as that.

Did Xiaomi "rushed" into EV market ?
Fact checked: Xiaomi announced it is entering the EV sector in Mar 2021 in the mist of COVID pandemic.

Beijing, CHINA, March 30, 2021 — Xiaomi Corporation (“Xiaomi” or the “Group”) is commencing its smart electric vehicle business with an official notice to Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX). Lei Jun, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, stated during its March 2021 launch event that the business will be operated under a Xiaomi wholly-owned subsidiary with an initial investment of RMB 10 billion. Over the course of the next 10 years, Xiaomi is committed to invest an estimated USD 10 billion in total. Lei Jun will concurrently serve as the CEO of the smart electric vehicle business.

I am not sure what is in going on in  sgbuffett brain...But it does show some pple continue to be in denial or in shock that a coy can turn from a phone-appliance maker into a EV manufacturer within 3 years and still can make a blood sexy performance EV that drive the world largest EV market crazy...And it gets more mind-bloggering for these pple's brain to hear Xiaomi CEO says his factory can produce a SU7 EV in every 76 seconds...

 Big Grin

The SU7 is the first car that smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has unveiled...the model has already entered production. Xiaomi builds the sedan at the Xiaomi Super Factory in Beijing, China. The brand's founder, chairman, and CEO, Lei Jun, disclosed that the factory can build 40 cars per hour, which means that a new Xiaomi SU7 will roll off the production line every 76 seconds The high pace is due to the highly automated production line and advanced smart techniques involved. More than 700 robots reportedly operate in the factory. They carry out tasks such as installation, inspection, and transportation.

Xiaomi is like any other major Chinese coy are doing today - Trying to survive in China's cut-throat post-industrialisation manufacturing hell that demands not just Japan-style-Just-in-time supply chain, but also rapid scale-up mass production plan with even tighter supply-chain eco-system... No country can implement such massive investment so quickly while ensuring timely delivery of quality products to an increasingly demanding customers When I say "Customers" I am referring to PRC buyers who are infamously can be very demanding for better and newer gadgets and services...That is why Telsa and Apple are loosing market share in China.

76 seconds per car is just a start - Mark my words. Big Grin

some services sector going that trend now.
less people involved, more profit to company.

That is true - the chart shows the shift to COMPLETE automation in the manufacturing sector is an unavoidable trend..
That trend started nearly 2 decades ago when Apple Inc decided to move their factory to  Shenzhen after Steve Job famously demand the 1st iPhone to have glass-touch-screen...
That spur new generation of Chinese entrepreneurs and industrialist, who appreciated the need to link with global supply chain...

One of them is the current Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun whom SGrean Chew had worked with as CFO. Big Grin

That's the average throughput time. If 25000 flats can be built in a yr, on average each flat takes about 2 mins. It doesn't really mean each flat takes 2 mins to build

Service sector next.

Reduce hours or Part time will be common as AI implementation increase.

There is a need to have international AI agreement to prevent competition into mass layoff

IMO, the only international "agreement" on the spread of AI use is just not unlike Darwinism aka Survival of the fittest and quickest.
Back in 2017 during a public speech, Lei Jun said AI (revolution) is closer than many think, will play a critical role in the "next decade" and will affect all businesses and industry...sharing that Xiaomi has invested a lot on AI research to prepare for this eventuality.
This eventuality has become a reality 7 years later.
