Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is expected to bring in new political office holders and reassign key ministers as he forms his first Cabinet following the PAP's strong election showing.
With the People’s Action Party (PAP) securing 65.57% of the national vote, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is expected to form his own team and appoint. Upcoming reshuffle will mark the first Cabinet Mr Wong fully forms since succeeding Mr Lee Hsien Loong in 2024. Post-election reshuffles typically occur within two to three weeks after a General Election. At a press conference held after the election results were announced, Mr Wong acknowledged that Cabinet formation would be a priority.
“There is added urgency this year given the need to deal with the uncertainty of the trade war and the tariff situation,” said National University of Singapore (NUS) associate professor Chong Ja Ian.
Analysts noted that a major reshuffle has not occurred since 2021, with COVID-19, the leadership transition and mounting global uncertainty contributing to continuity in recent years. The mostly unchanged portfolios have helped provide stability in the government, said Assoc Prof Chong.

#41. The Philippines...Philippines is a diverse intriguing holiday destination for anybody. On one hand, you can explore the stunning beaches & thick jungles. However, cities are extremely built up overpopulated, resulting in unhappy stressed locals who aren't exactly welcoming tourists this rudeness varies from place-place. Certain areas Philippines are popular for being extremely friendly, other regions should rather be avoided, like big cities, secluded areas known for being rather unwelcoming they prefer the quiet lifestyle

@40. Thailand is a very popular destination for young backpackers wanting to see the world and experience unique cultures some of backpackers have complained about etiquette of the locals, especially in the bigger cities, locals don't appreciate sheer number of tourists infiltrate their country every year during Summer months as backpackers have noted locals treat tourists who look like they have money better than those who don't.

#38 Indonesia is considered one of the rudest countries in world, important to remember their customs traditions are very different from ours, we consider rude might actually be commonplace for locals. For starters, pleasantries aren't really a thing in Indonesia can tourists be surprise visiting for 1st time. It common for locals to ask tourists for money or for shop vendors to pressure tourists into buying as much as possible.

30. Australia is a popular tourist destination for many reasons. From the sandy beaches to Great Barrier Reef
Reef, does seem like an outdoor lovers' paradise. For most part, Australian locals don't mind tourists too much fact are a very laid-back bunch of people, which can come across as rude to some foreigners, they love to swear a very common for people to include at>least one swear word in every sentence.

He'll, however, remain in party, he told journalists b4 walkabout at West Coast Market Square with about 20 PSP members & volunteers, including those who contested in West Coast-Jurong West GRC and Pioneer SMC. "At end of day, we didn't do well. I don't want to blame anybody," Dr Tan added. The party lost in all the constituencies it was contesting. It also received a smaller vote share in the ones it was re-contesting, including West Coast-Jurong West GRC, which saw closest contest between PSP Vs ruling PAP Party in the 2020 General Election. We'll be back soon. We'll be back in maybe five years time," by then, I hope a younger team will take over & we hope people will look at us in a different way."
The party is looking forward to seeing how it can train younger members to understand what politics is, "what's like to represent people", added he stood as a candidate in 2025 GE b'cos he hoped to bring more young people into parliament, noting he had already been a Member of Parliament b4. "I tried my best, thinking, maybe they think we're not ready, it's ok, b'cos if Workers' Party took about 60 yrs to just gain 10 seats, I told them, don't be discouraged," Dr Tan said.

As the climate crisis worsens and energy needs grow, scientists are racing to unlock a cleaner and safer energy future. Among the most promising solutions is nuclear fusion—an energy source that could one day power the world without releasing carbon or creating long-term radioactive waste. But fusion is hard to achieve. It demands extreme conditions, precise control, technology that must meet tough, conflicting, demands. That’s why recent breakthrough is catching attention. One Energy, a private company focused on fusion, developed a detailed, self-consistent scientific blueprint for a practical fusion pilot power plant.
Their findings, now published in six peer-reviewed papers in the Journal of Plasma Physics (JPP), lay foundation for a pilot facility that could bring fusion energy closer to the power grid. Special issue of journal is more just academic, it shows how science, engineering, global collaboration can work together to design energy systems that meet real-world needs.
A new blueprint for fusionThe work centers device called a stellarator—a complex machine uses twisted, helical magnetic fields to control the super-hot plasma needed for fusion reactions. The idea is not new. Fact, the Wendelstein 7-X in Germany world’s largest stellarator, has already proven the design can work at a research scale.
According to Christofer Mowry, the company’s CEO, this isn’t just another laboratory concept. “The physics basis for our new fusion power plant is grounded in Type One Energy’s expert knowledge about reliable, economic, electrical generation for the power grid,” Mowry said. “We have an organisation that understands this isn’t only about designing a science project.”

Plasma, the fourth state of matter, consists of charged particles like ions and electrons. Found naturally in the sun and lightning, it can also be generated in controlled environments. 1) Air Compression: System starts by drawing in atmospheric air, then compressed to high pressures using a turbine compressor. This compressed air provides the necessary density for effective plasma generation.
2) Microwave Ionization Chamber: The compressed air flows into a quartz tube fitted with microwave ionization chamber. Microwaves, operating at 2.45 GHz same frequency used in microwave ovens—are directed into chamber.
3) Ionization: Inside the chamber, the high-frequency microwaves excite air molecules, stripping electrons from atoms creating a plasma state resulting plasma reaches temperatures exceeding several thousand degrees Celsius.
4) Jet Thrust Generation: High-temperature plasma rapidly expands exits ionization chamber. This expansion produces a jet thrust capable of lifting a 1-kilogram steel ball, demonstrating thrust comparable to conventional jet engines.
