A statement from S'pore’s PM’s Office on Sunday said the theme of this year’s summit – Inclusivity and Sustainability – underlines a “forward-looking agenda and priorities in building a united and resilient ASEAN amidst geopolitical and economic challenges”.

Singaporean cyclist dies in Johor after hitting pothole, being run over by lorry.  KULAI – A 42-year-old Singaporean male cyclist died in Johor on June 14 after he hit a pothole, fell and got run over by a gravel-laden lorry. Kulai district police chief Tan Seng Lee said the incident occurred along Jalan Gunung Pulai. “The victim, who was with three other cyclists, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene,” Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tan said in a statement, adding that the 41-year-old lorry driver was unhurt. AC Tan said dead man was sent to Hospital Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim in Kulai for a post-mortem examination. He added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act – causing death by reckless or dangerous driving. Earlier, a video clip of the incident, believed to have been recorded by the lorry driver, was widely shared on social media.

PM Wong first Cabinet reshuffle in 2024, he said he planned to rotate new 4G ministers & “give them wider exposure experience” since PM Wong Govt was re-elected, a few would be able to step up and take over from senior colleagues in due course, while some of the junior office-holders could take on more responsibilities, he said then.
