China project is progressing smoothly, with engineers undertaking system tests preparing for cold functional testing, an essential precursor to full-scale ops. Unlike traditional nuclear power plants, small modular reactors like Linglong-1 are smaller, safer, & quicker to build, incorporate passive safety systems, allowing for safe shutdowns without requiring human intervention or external power, versatility supports deployment in diverse locations, ranging from industrial parks to energy-intensive regions.

A statement from S'pore’s PM’s Office on Sunday said the theme of this year’s summit – Inclusivity and Sustainability – underlines a “forward-looking agenda and priorities in building a united and resilient ASEAN amidst geopolitical and economic challenges”.
The leaders will reaffirm their commitment to ASEAN’s integration and community building efforts, as well as discuss ways to continue promoting “a free, open and inclusive regional architecture” within the 10-member bloc and with external partners, it added.
Talks will also touch on how to strengthen ASEAN’s resilience by making trade within the region more seamless and tapping new growth areas like the digital and green economies, statement said.
In addition, S'pore Mr Wong & his counterparts are set to discuss ways to expand ASEAN’s engagement with external partners.

With number of ministers likely to be about the same – 19 currently – as well as 37 office-holders overall, there are several gaps left by retiring senior figures that will have to be filled. Like of eg: Defence Ministry is been post to Mr Chan formerly from Minister Education, (MOE) since SG need new office-holders, given the retirement of Dr Ng and Mr Heng Chee How, who was senior minister of state. There's likely be a replacement for DPM Heng, who held role of coordinating minister for economic policies until last May.
