However, it's clear that our leaders have mishandled the implementation. The disproportionate influx of foreign PMEs, particularly from certain countries like India, and the discriminatory hiring practices of many companies (especially MNCs) have undermined the policy's original intent. Additionally, there's been a failure to ensure effective knowledge transfer to local PMEs. Our ministers have let down the entire country. What the govt has done is commit treason.

face it we are in recession. with usa, europe and china all in recession or slow down. world demand also down.
partly also due to the many pass away. number may not have reduce a lot but those pass away are consumers.
new born not yet so able to consume yet.

new car plant, new medical plant. etc

gov already done quiet well to hide it by pushing so many projects.

jsut that need to keep those idiots from blocking the road uncessary. some road outside work beside the road are block to facilitate vehicle go in/out. i ask how many vehicle go in/out every day. can these be adjusted so that only need to block road in certain time. now is like entitiled to block. today newton circle. block road with a small machine on road side. workers all having lunch. they no care about the jam that they have created. it takes just a little time to remove and put back the block when work start again.

all these happens because someone in their mind about safety out in measures. but too lazy to check. many of these has caused traffic jammed . i also know of at lease one case of accident due to changing lane on express way from the block. surely the work is has no accident records. the accident is other vehicle. you die your problem . i hope singapore will not go down this path.

The average monthly salary of a S'porean may be earned in 2-3 hours by a Minister. Our politicians are overpaying themselves and drawing down taxpayers' hard earned money at such an obscene rate. Don't they even feel a pinch of guilt?

The so-called foreign talent that openly invited into S'pore, takes away job opportunities from true blue S'poreans; particularly in highly-skilled sectors.  The influx of foreign PMEs ( I refuse to call them "talents" because most of them are doing run-of-the-mill white collar jobs in IT, Finance, HR, Marketing etc. which locals may easily fill ) is putting a downward pressure on wages; especially for entry-level positions.

I was an NSF of the 1990s. If I am still serving today, I will ask myself: "Who the fu-k am I defending?"

This 60% preferred to stick with the devil they know. The Opposition is still untested by their reckoning. I wonder if a freak GE result leads to the overthrow of the ruling party, will they concede defeat, or call in the armed forces and police to "restore order" and claim election fraud?
