Lazada had laid staff off to pre-empt future challenges such as a higher dependence on tech, and more complex marketing strategies.

online or mortar. brand name with proven design, quality etc will survive. the time of price only is eroding fast as each buyer will realised a lot time unknown brand has this or that problem.
online or mortar present is only a distribution channel. see how the business people max it.
like grocery some town buying power is going down as the population age. so the goods sold must be readjusted to their pocket. if cannot adjust sure lost money, example amk. the town is so quiet in the day when the road can be empty for quite a while.

A guy I know paid $200 for a male organ enlarger from ebay. When he opened the parcel, all he found was a magnifying glass.

It's interesting to see how the e-commerce landscape is evolving. While the heyday of online shopping has provided consumers with great benefits like lower prices and convenience, it's also a reminder of how quickly the industry can change. This shift could have implications for both consumers and e-commerce companies.
One way for retailers to adapt to these changes is by leveraging technology like Cloud ERP for retailers. This can help them streamline their operations, improve efficiency, and better understand consumer behavior. With the right tools and strategies, retailers can continue to thrive in the ever-changing e-commerce landscape.

E- commerce will be the future, for everything we buy. Only the luxury high end goods will be transact at shops.
The convenience, wide selection in design and price comparison, easy payment with refund assurance, review from consumers, save the trouble of travelling and carrying back the goods, making it too easy in purchasing.
There is no reason for consumers to go back to shop in purchasing daily necessities.
