We have no right to pay any property taxes on HDB

Serene Ho comments are justifiable and it makes sense. We needs to hv more of such people to wake them up. Otherwise, the thought they are always at the top of world defying all logic.

HDB is a public flat and should not be used for investment.
PAP should provide choice to buy a HDB for investment or a HDB for non-investment.

Ah Jinx must explain why hdb buyers signed " lease agreement " not a strata title ownership. Thought only property owners pay property taxes?

I dont get it
Their argument is that you own the lease and can resell it. It is not actually leasing or renting.
In almost all aspects, this is true except the common areas are owned by hdb. Hdb flat owners dont have a share of the common areas unlike private property owners.
Maybe they will re define property ownership to include lease ownership.

If we look at it in terms of rental, then why is the govt charging us high rents compared to freehold landed? If we just compare rent per month.
