Before these indian expats/pr go on social media to voice their grievances, did they ask around what led to this discrimination?

Before I didn't quite believe those stories online of rented apartments getting trashed by the non-local indian tenants, dismissing them as fake xenophobic accusations.

That was until I personally went to help a relative with some repair work after her condo tenant (expat indian family) moved out. Broken blinds, damaged wardrobe doors, stickers and crayon marks on walls/bedframe/wardrobe, curry masala stains and spills in kitchen countertop grooves/wall/floor. All were in brand new state before renting out and only stayed for 2 years.

My relative never rented to another expat indian again.

Nothing to do with racist

But Indians should know why they are rejected

1. Talk loudly on phone whole day
2. Cook until kitchen smell like curry
3. nonstop requests
4. ....

Number 1 not really now. Number 2 also less now. Number 3 is the worst! This one u can die. If he is a lawyer then sure die pain pain.

Those Indian tenants wil spoiled everything in the hse once they vacate. You hv to use the rental collections over those years to renovate yr hse again. So, it is not worth it.

A friend so kind let them delayed rents for 3 months then one day they disappeared and let a filthy house for him to clean up and repain

I have rented my condo to British, Japanese, French, Indians, Malaysians, Spanish Australian Chinese and the worst tenants are the Malaysians.

they packed up run away overnite after oh tang u 3 mths rentals
u want t take this risk in exchange for few $ more ?
some even worst took yr belongings!!!

Never assume that others will accept you unconditionally.
The process of renting is a commercial transaction. Business outlook and not race-based integrity. 😊

Indians should be realistic in their perspective of Singapore.

6  u will ger hbp n later heart attack or stroke when u need to argue with them once a mth is gd enough to do much harm to yr body
is it worth it for that few $ more ?

All SGreans know India's Indian pattern....a $1.5 million condo will entitle them to bully security guards...

The Malaysian tenant drilled 2 holes each on the toilet door and bedroom door. I wanted them to replace the doors. My agent was too nice to them, just asked me to deduct $150 from the deposit and then told the tenant if not happy, go to the small claim tribunal. The tenant lan lan keep quiet.

Ppl missed the point.

As the owner, I happy rent to who is my prob.

If the owner want to restrict his pool of potential customers, it's his choice.

For every one who dun want to rent, there are tons of others who is willing, if the price is right.
