I am not saying whether they are right or wrong but it is a chain effect. When US and EU use tariffs to block Chjna export, these exports have tk go somewhere else
Likely it will flood into developing countries like Indonesia. When these goods come in it can wipe out many local.industries - these industries are still in early state of development and cannot compete with the China imports.
The Indonesia govt has to make a decision whether to let them die and lose the jobs or block the Chinese.
Indonesia as a countries does not do everything so industries that do not exist in a big way they will let Chinese goods in. But things like cars, motorcycles these are produced locally and create many jobs. They have no choice but to block

It's a vicious cycle globally. The weak global economy places pressure on individual countries to maintain economic and social stability, so everyone defaults to the easiest way of enacting barrier to trade.
The barriers of trade lowers overall productivity as consumers end up buying stuff that are expensive and inferior, this in turn hits nations that depend on global trade. These countries then experience slowdown and reduce buying primary products such as raw materials and food.
That in turn bites back many of the countries that imposed tariffs in the first place so more people get hit by both inflation and stagnating wages due to unproductivity. The malaise then leads to more nationalism across the world which aggravates the situation further.
Basically the world isn't doing well economically and things don't seem to be improving soon. There's a lot of stock market hype / speculation for trading AI stocks, but these don't do much in real life beyond simply slushing liquidity around.
