Sr Faustina lamented in her diary that the painting of Jesus was not up to the mark of her actual vision in terms of beauty. I'm guessing the original painter also painted under the influence of what he believed Jesus would look like.

It is incredible that save for the variation in physiological colouring eg. skin colour , eyes colour, hair colour, Jesus in the paintings of yore as imagined by the classical painters, bore a good resemblance to what Sr Faustina saw.

Please note also that to date, no illustration of Jesus resembles the neanderthal caveman version modern day 'researchers' have come up with, and that includes even the earliest drawings of Jesus from the biblical times.
Jesus look like what is secondary, what he did is trouble maker, that is a fact.

who care what he look like, he can look like Trump so what??? Look like LKY so what???

I think his face look like Beng kia i saw at geylang.. trouble maker if that picture someone post early is his face.

Your example of India does not apply here because everyone who’s even a little bit educated would know that the current Indian population is a mix of indigenous natives of the subcontinent genetically mixed with Aryan Caucasian invaders from Central Asia, to differing levels. So you get light skin with Caucasian features to dark skin with austronesian features as you go from north to south.

Jesus descended from Mary's lineage which can be traced back to King David and beyond. In the bible though, Joseph, Mary's husband, is cited instead when tracing the house Jesus descended from, but their lineages are essentially the same since Joseph was also Mary's cousin.

King Solomon, David's son, was cited in the bible to have married many foreign women. royalty from distant and neighbouring lands, these would include Assyrian kingdoms of which a good percentage of today's Iranians and Iraqis are descendents of.

Iraqis look more Arabic [hairy and darker colouring] while Iranians look more Caucasoid. It would not surprise me if a good number of Jewish people from biblical times also had caucasoid features.

Just like India, the cradle of ancient civilisation, is a melting pot of varying physiological tones and colours, so is the middle east.

In terms of appearance, rabbis described the Biblical Jews as being "midway between black and white" and having the "color of the boxwood tree".

You hv a good point of argument. They are extremists or rather, fake muslims, who kill calling out allahu akbar and saying god is great. Rather sinful.

2000 years ago when Jesus lived was not very ancient. In 221 BC the first emperor of China conquered southern China after defeating and annexing the other 6 kingdoms in the north. Chinese ancestors had admixture of nomads from the north and tribal people from Baiyue tribes in the south, nomads from the north had lighter skin tone while some of the Baiyue tribes in the south had darker skin tones. Before Han Chinese conquered Baiyue tribes, many tribes fled to Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Malaya, the Philippines, Indonesia and Taiwan, they are the ancestors of today’s Vietnamese, Thais, Burmese, Laotians, Cambodians, Malays, Filipinos, Indonesians and indigenous Taiwanese who have darker skin tone. After 2000 year assimilation and intermarriage, Southern Chinese now have yellow skin tone.

Having said that, some research says China was ruled by dark skinned Austronesian people migrated from East Africa under Xia (2205 -1766 BC) and Shang dynasties (1766-1046 BC). Soon after Austronesian people left China and moved to Southeast Asia.
