So we know that the devil can appear as Jesus to some people.
How do we know the one who visited LKSM isn't the devil impersonating Jesus?
It's very simple... His premonitions aren't about any new revelation. Lksm predicted earthquakes beforehand, that didn't alter the fundamental principles of our faith....if it is the devil, it will try to deviate you from the right path...
Can the devil appear to Muhammad in his dreams?
Yes as a matter of fact...and in real life ,Muhammad was under a spell for a long period of time ..Aisha even said that Muhammad believed that he was having sex but he was not

I was just using LKSM as an example.
So, if Jesus appears to you and what he says aligns with what you believe, that means it's Jesus and not the devil. But if what Jesus said is not aligned with what you believe, then it's the devil.
Well, what if Jesus wanted to correct you? Wouldn't he be saying things that do not align with what you believe?

No, that is false. Our Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم wasn't under a spell. He was always under the protection of Allah from the devil.

Most scholars say the longer ending of Mark is spurious. They think it is a later addition.
When someone else made an addition to a book, would you call that a corruption? Or a manipulation?

Mark's longer endings is found in vast amount of the Greek manuscripts...it is definitely not a corruption

How would you tell if it is Jesus or the devil?
Sahih Muslim 2261 a
Abu Salama reported:
I used to see dreams (and was so much perturbed) that I began to quiver and have temperature, but did not cover myself with a mantle. I met Abu Qatada and made a mention of that to him. He said: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: A good vision comes from Allah and a (bad) dream (hulm) from devil. So when one of you sees a bad dream (hulm) which he does not like, he should spit on his left side thrice and seek refuge with Allah from its evil; then it will not harm him.

Ok. But that doesn't answer my question.

Surely yes, it is a corruption. When the original has been changed, it is definitely a corruption.
If you don't like the word "corruption", we can call it manipulation. Some people manipulated the scriptures, for what reasons?

Yes, some ahadith in Sahih al-Bukhari describe an incident where the Prophet Muhammad was believed to be under the influence of magic. Specifically, it's narrated that he had thoughts of engaging in intimacy with his wives while not actually doing so, due to the effects of magic. This incident is linked to a man named Labid bin Al-A'sam, a Jew, who reportedly cast a spell on the Prophet using a comb and hair.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
The Spell:
The hadith describes the magic affecting the Prophet's mind, causing him to imagine he was performing actions he wasn't.
The Perpetrator:
The spell is attributed to Labid bin Al-A'sam, a Jewish man from Medina.
The Materials:
The spell is said to have been worked using a comb and hair, possibly with other items like a pollen skin, according to some narrations.
Discovery and Healing:
The Prophet eventually became aware of the spell and, through divine intervention, discovered the location of the materials used (a well).
Response:
The Prophet, upon discovering the well, had it filled with earth, and Allah healed him from the effects of the magic.
Scholarly Interpretations:
Sunni scholars generally accept the authenticity of these ahadith and interpret them as a test for the Prophet and a demonstration of Allah's power to heal.

It was there in huge numbers...you cannot say it is falsely written...there is no wrong to assume it to be an later addition when compared to codex or other manuscripts....
there is a footnote on the longer ending of mark..

A lot of those Hadith are weak, and confusing.

Yes, some narrations in Sahih al-Bukhari describe an incident where Prophet Muhammad was believed to have been affected by magic. Specifically, one hadith narrates that Aisha reported that magic was worked on the Prophet, causing him to imagine that he had sexual relations with his wives when he had not. Muhammad صلي الله عليه وسلم was just a man. He can get sick and such. But we know he was constantly under the protection of Allah. Similarly, we believe the son of Mary, pbuh, was also just a man, and constantly under the protection of Allah.

Bad dreams, or nightmares, are different. Also good dreams.
But we are talking about theology here. Dreams of Jesus are theologically based and we are already in agreement that the devil can impersonate Jesus and appear in a vision. You said it was the devil who impersonated Jesus and appeared before Joseph Smith. That has nothing to do with good or bad dreams. We also have Paul of Tarsus, who claimed to have a vision of Jesus appearing before him. Was that the devil or Jesus? You have no way to tell.

Where in the Hadith mention that Muhammad is sick..He was under a spell..Jesus was tempted by the devil for 40 days but he refused to give in
