Scripture readings for Christmas

(Yesterday, 02:05 PM)Ali Imran Wrote:  Did God say that if the Israelites didn't obey God, a curse would be on them instead?

Did Jesus warn the Israelites that the kingdom would be taken away from them and given to another nation?

Did the Israelites heed the warning?

God removed them from their land and promise to gather them back...it sure look like a curse to me

Jesus is not your fortune cookie or mirror mirror on the wall ..why would he foretold the future to the israelites

Have they repented and accepted Jesus as their Messiah? The answer is no and no.

So why would they be allowed back to the holy land?

I never said the Jews don't have scriptures. I only say we don't have the Torah that was given to Prophet Moses pbuh.

The issues with some Muslims are quite serious... each individual tends to have their own interpretations... there's a lack of consistency... scholars may say one thing, Muhammad may say another, and then Allah says something new...

What do you mean you don have the Torah given to moses? They have it and that is what that counts...give it to you also useless because you don know where is the corruption  Big Grin

God made a promise with them ...it is in your Quran and Torah... whether they repent or rejected the messiah is another matter

Just because you don't understand our scripture, don't assume we also have the same confusion as you.

Let me ask you a question. Do you think the opening verses of the book of Luke are the words of Jesus?

Nope ..My prayers were answered when I was alone in the church, surrounded by complete darkness.

God's promise to them came with a condition. They kept breaking the condition. Jesus pbuh was their last warning and even then, they refused to listen. They were chased out of the holy land because of their insolence. So, why would they be allowed back into the holy land?

Can you quote Luke...

If you are ignorant, you can learn to correct it. But if you're arrogant, nothing can help you and you will never learn. Just because you are confused about the scholar's explanation, you attribute your confusion to us.

Below are the opening verses of Luke. Do you believe they are the words of Jesus?

Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled[a] among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

Laughing I'm just speaking honestly. The term 'muhaymin' can be understood in different ways. What God revealed in the Quran is interpreted differently by various Moslems... Everyone has their own perspective, and the interpretations seem quite scattered. When there’s a lack of consistency in the explanations, it raises doubts about whether the Quran truly represents the words of Allah...

That is why some radical moslems misinterpret the Quran and see it as a sign to use violence against disbelievers...many cases here already..

The Bible, specifically in Matthew 5:44 and Luke 6:28, commands believers to love and bless their enemies, praying for those who persecute them. This teaching emphasizes overcoming evil with good and demonstrating the love of God to all, even those who are hostile.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Matthew 5:44: "But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you."

U never read the Bible ?
Only some scriptures to attack?
the Bible, particularly in the Old Testament, contains prophecies about the gathering of the Jewish people back to their ancestral homeland, Israel. These prophecies are found in books like Ezekiel,Isaiah, and Jeremiah. The gathering is described as a divine act, with God orchestrating the return of the Israelites from various nations where they had been scattered
