Malaysians could run out of savings 19 years too soon - Bank Negara
MALAYSIANS could run out of savings by the age of 58 due to low wages, high debt and premature withdrawals from their retirement funds during the pandemic, according to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). And the situation risks worsening....
PM Anwar is under pressure to let citizens dip into their retirement savings (Employees Provident Fund) once again, with the opposition clamouring that he allow for another round of “targeted withdrawals” to help struggling Malaysians. Anwar has resisted the calls, prompting the opposition on Monday (Apr 3) to walk out of Parliament in protest.

A case when some ministers don’t bother to turn up for cabinet meetings while others are not even on speaking terms. Made the excuse that PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s Cabinet was product of a ‘unity government’, hence had to accommodate different stakeholders with different ideologies.
Many buried their heads in the sand.

Ex-PM Ismail compares Umno-PH alliance to 'forced marriage' destined to fail. The former Umno veep says there are already cracks in the five-month-old government headed by Anwar Ibrahim. Former Umno vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob is also former prime minister said cracks in the cooperation after at least two senior Johor Umno leaders rebuked several DAP and PKR leaders for comments seen as an insult to the Malay party.

This question was post to ChatGPT - What are Malaysias most critical socioeconomic challenges?
Interestingly, the AI break its reply in several levels...one mention why M'sians incoming are so low...
ChatGPT Reply:
Malaysia faces several critical socioeconomic challenges that have a significant impact on the country’s development and its citizens’ well-being. Some of the most pressing challenges are:
Income inequality: Malaysia has one of the highest income inequality rates in Southeast Asia. The top 20% of households earn almost 50% of the total income, while the bottom 40% earn only 14%. This disparity in income distribution can lead to social unrest, poverty, and unequal access to opportunities.
Unemployment and underemployment: Despite the government’s efforts to create jobs, unemployment remains a significant problem in Malaysia, particularly among young people. Many Malaysians also face underemployment, where they are employed but not in jobs that match their skills and education levels.

Last time I hear my M'sian associates bragging how accessible their EPF fund is vs CPF withdrawal limits...Now we can see the result..
PM Anwar warned that 81% of EPF (Bolehland version of CPF) contributors will not have enough savings to live above the poverty line after their retirement.
In a written reply to Al Jazeera, the EPF, which operates under the purview of the Ministry of Finance, said the uptick in withdrawals would have long-term implications for contributors’ retirement.

Bolehland naturally endowed with many "assets" from sand, water and cheap food...
And SG is more than happy to buy from Bolehland provided the price is right...

That Tanjong Pg station and land deal must say "Thank you" to Najib....who interestingly says the credit should go to previous bolehland Gov..
And as with any dealing with our closest neighhor, the story was long and complicated...which ended up SG taking over the 999-years land from M'sia.
And yes, of course Dr M still KPKB now...

The re-location is long overdue. Can you tell me which country is chop other country passport then chop own country passport when you exit your own country? Last time we chop Msia passport in Tanjong Pagar railway station
FIRST and then to Woodlands chop Spore passport. This is crazy out of the norm. With re-location everything back to normal. I exit Spore should chop Spore passport then upon enter Msia chop Msia passport and vice versa when come back.

Bolehland had refused to sell river sand to Singapore for our land reclamation, and we had to look to Indonesia for this. They are also reluctant to sell raw river water to us, but a 2061 agreement to sell raw river water to Singapore at 3 Malaysian sens per meter cube had to be honoured..................................

A country becomes poor mainly because of corruptions, and Bolehland is notorious for corruptions, thru' all the various PMs from top to bottom of the administrations........

It's a country ruled by Bumis due to their genes issue. Bumis are Austronesians like Pinoys. Due to their low IQ and laziness, these Maths Fail people can't even operate simple machinery let alone maintain them and can only handle simple living such as subsistence farming, agriculture and fishing. No amount of religious brainwashing can change them, whether Islam, Hinduism or Catholicism.
Forcing them to live in the modern world will only bring forth more corruption, incest, drug-taking and bring more misery to their families, suffering and the society.

Khairy still at crossroads as Bersatu ready to welcome axed Umno leader
KUALA LUMPUR – Former Umno man Khairy Jamaluddin has yet to decide on Bersatu’s offer to join the party and stand in the coming election in six states.
Bersatu information chief Datuk Razali Idris said the offer was made to Khairy by party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in a meeting after the Umno man was sacked. The offer was for Khairy to run on a Bersatu ticket if the former Rembau MP was still interested in a career in politics.
