Four, two-ton
ATACMS streaked down, 1-fail, failed to explode, 3 popped open scattered their letha thousand of sub-munitions,
each rocket turned an area as wide as 2.5 acres into a near inescapable killing zone. One (ATACMS) burst directly overhead on crowd of approximately almost 200 unprotected Russians. All those Russians may had (Malay word die) died in the rain of submunitions, according to Institute for Study of War in Washington, D.C.
The Wed-day strike may has been one of bloodiest wider war, indicative of poor planning on part of Russian commanders.
They must have known such a strike has recently become possible—or very soon.
Acquiring ATACMS from U.S. recently, aim & shoot on Russian army’s vulnerable rear area, been one priorities for Ukraine’s top military in recent mth. US has belatedly obliged repeated Ukrainian requests for the powerful rockets with the US$61 bil.
May 4 (UPI) -- Ukraine used recently acquired U.S. made supplied mobile surface-to-surface missile systems to target Russian military assets in occupied Crimean peninsula, the Kremlin said Saturday.
Ukrainian troops launched 4 of the tactical ATACMS missiles Friday afternoon. Then Saturday morning, also intercepted aim shot down a Russia's air defense system, they said the attacks targeted Russian training facilities in Crimea & are for 2nd time use of U.S.-made portable missile systems in about five days.
Ukrainian forces on Tuesday deployed three of the recently acquired ATACMS missiles to target Russian forces in Crimea peninsula, killing an estimated 100 Russian military personnel while destroying a Russian surface-to-air missile defense system in Dzhankoy, according to analysts with the U.S.-based Institute for the Study of War.

This is what happen, happy,. Hundreds of Russian Troops Gathered Out In the open.
They Didn’t Know Ukrainians Had Aimed Lateat news: four ATACMS Rockets coming. Potentially more than 100 Russians died as ATACMS struck near Kuban in eastern Ukraine. Bomb
Kuban, is a settlement in Luhansk Oblast in eastern Ukraine, is 60 miles from the front line of Russia’s 27-mth wider war. Normally well beyond range of most of Ukraine’s personnel weapons, it had been fairly safe for their Russian occupiers, thinking is safe, those Russian soldiers think so...had aimed at them.
This helps to explain why, on or just b4 Wednesday, potentially hundreds of Russian troops gathered out in open in field near Kuban apparently for training in the camp, problem is with Russians Army Tactical.
Missile System: an American-made precision-guided ballistic missile, depending on model, ranges as far as 190 miles and can scatters at least hundreds at most, (that four ATACMS mean in thousand—grenade-size submunitions.)
As the Russians milled about in broad daylight on that field outside Kuban, and a Ukrainian drone observed from high overhead, four of the two-ton ATACMS streaked down. One also can fail, it failed to explode. The other three popped open and scattered their lethal submunitions.

NEWS FEED, THE NETHERLANDS, F-16, UKRAINE, FIGHTER JETS, AIR FORCE, WESTERN AID
Netherlands plans to begin F-16 aircraft deliveries to Ukraine in autumn.
Netherlands plans to start delivering its F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine this autumn after Denmark begins transferring its aircraft already in the summer, Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren said during a press briefing in Vilnius, Delfi reported on May 6.
Previously, the Netherlands has pledged to deliver 24 of its fourth-generation U.S.-made jets to Ukraine as Kyiv seeks to bolster its Air Force. Speaking alongside her Lithuanian counterpart Laurynas Kasciunas, Ollongren said that the deliveries are part of a detailed plan also involving training for Ukrainian pilots and maintenance personnel.
If the allies manage to stay on course, the first Danish F-16s should arrive in Ukraine this summer. The Netherlands hopes to take part in deliveries starting this autumn. The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, and Belgium have pledged to supply Ukraine with dozens of F-16 jets. Denmark, the Netherlands, and the U.S. have led an international coalition established last year to provide Kyiv with F-16 fighter jets and train Ukrainian pilots.

Ukrainian soldier describes a rout that left 100 dead or missing as Russia keeps gaining ground.
A Ukrainian soldier said over 100 of his comrades were killed or went missing in an attack.VHis brigade was moved to a position that had hardly any fortifications, the Associated Press reported.
It had to retreat as soldiers struggled to build fortifications under Russian fire, the report said....A Ukrainian soldier fighting on a key battlefront in the country's east described how more than 100 of his comrades were killed or went missing as they struggled to build fortifications under heavy Russian fire.
The soldier, from Ukraine's 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade, spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity to share the situation on the front line.
The news agency reported that the brigade was rotated in mid-March to hold a position less than two miles from the strategic city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk.
Instead of the dugouts, maze of trenches, and firing positions he'd anticipated, the soldier found a series of pits that were hardly big enough to hide in during artillery barrages, the AP reported.

Keeping faith: Volodymyr Zelensky poses for a selfie with Ukrainian troops near frontlines in Chasiv Yar.
Ukraine war: battlefield setbacks stir Kyiv’s European allies into taking a tougher line on Russia
2-weeks after US president, Joe Biden, signed off on a US$60 billion (£50 billion) package of military aid to Kyiv, the impact on the battlefield has been relatively modest, to an assessment by Washington-based think-tank Institute for the Study of War on May 6, Russian offensive ops continued unabated Putin’s invasion force continues to achieve incremental territorial gains along frontline in east and south.
The critical battle at the moment appears to be around eastern town of Chasiv Yar, ten kilometres west of Bakhmut, Russia captured a year ago. If town were to fall, would be indication of both Russia’s success on battlefield & incredibly slow pace of the conflict it would be a further indication that despite US aid package momentum in the war remains with Russia, for now.
It would have been unrealistic to expect Ukraine to regain the military initiative immediately. This despite fact the US defence dept already positioned key supplies, including air defence capabilities and artillery ammunition, in advance of Biden’s signature was able to deliver to Ukraine in some cases within hrs.
The continuing Russian advance also indicates likely delays on the Ukrainian side in distributing new supplies to frontline troops. And even when logistical problems are overcome, they will not necessarily quickly make up for unfavourable overall balance in equipment and manpower that Ukraine still faces.

Russia-Ukraine war: List events, day on 806. Here situation on Friday, May 10, 2024.
Fighting...As the war enters its 806th day, these are the main developments. A Ukrainian soldier sends receiving coordinates for a drone from a trench on front line in Donetsk region.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s army was facing “a really difficult situation” against Russian forces on the eastern front, but that the US’s $61bn military aid package was coming and would turn the tide.
Ukraine’s state energy company Ukrhydroenergo said two hydropower plants were no longer operating after Russian attacks earlier this week caused “devastating damage”.
Unnamed intelligence sources in Kyiv told the Reuters and AFP news agencies that a Ukrainian drone struck a major oil refinery in Russia’s Bashkortostan region on Thursday from some 1,500km (932 miles) away in the longest-range attack since the start of Moscow’s full-scale invasion.
Russia’s emergency services said a building at Gazprom’s Neftekhim Salavat oil processing, petrochemical and fertiliser complex in Bashkortostan was damaged, the RIA state news agency reported.
Politics and diplomacy
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy fired the head of the state guards, the unit that provides protection to top officials, after the intelligence services said two of its members were involved in a Russian plot to assassinate him.
Zelenskyy appointed Brigadier General Oleksandr Trepak as the commander of Ukraine’s special forces replacing Colonel Serhiy Lupanchuk. It is the second time in six months that the president has changed the head of the unit that operates in Russia-occupied territories. No reason was given.

Ukrainian watchdogs are concerned.
They already viewed the president’s office as having too much informal power over the govt in Kyiv.
Many in Ukrainian civil society now see efforts to cement transparent restoration financing and ministerial independence at risk of being deprioritized by a new team that Yermak will handpick.
The fact is G7 has also taken note. The ambassadors to Ukraine of the US, the EU, Germany, France, & other key allies posted social media messages about their appreciation for their partnerships with Kubrakov. They appear to want to stay close with him. That's diplomats express concern.
To reassure G7 donors, Kyiv will need to move fast to restore confidence, first step should be naming Azarkhina as the new minister of infrastructure. That would be an immediate sign that independent reformers are still being empowered.
Kyiv should also promise to preserve DREAM, ensure it continues to receive investment policy support. This'll show new world-class systems of procurement transparency built hand-in-hand with Ukrainian civil society will survive the ministerial reorganization and leadership transition.
That should preclude power plays by the head of presidential office to sideline a transparency reformer and dismantle a ministry for no reason other than its effectiveness in dealing with critical allies.

Russian attacks in north-east Ukraine have prompted the evacuation of almost 1,800 people from the Kharkiv area, the regional head has said.
Heavy fighting has continued in the border area following Russia's surprise incursions on Friday.
Kyiv has been expecting a Russian summer offensive for some time - including a possible attempt to capture Kharkiv, Ukraine's second city.
But Ukraine insists its forces are able to resist any attack.
On Saturday Russia said it had seized five villages near the town of Vovchansk in its latest offensive. The BBC has not been able to independently verify the claim.
It is still not clear how far the Russians will advance - whether this is a probing attack or the start of something bigger.
Ukrainian artillery guns are now firing back. The booms of exchanging fire echo loudly down the already bomb-damaged streets.
A total of 1,775 people have been evacuated, Kharkiv regional head Oleh Syniehubov said on social media. Hundreds more remain in Vovchansk, just 6km (3.7 miles) from the Russian border.
Serhii, a resident, told the BBC that his home and vehicles had been destroyed by a Russian glide bomb. His wife had been rushed to hospital with more serious injuries. Small fires were still pouring smoke across the remnants of his home.

US F-16s could play a vital role in isolating Crimea and humiliating Putin, says defense analyst
US F-16s will have a big impact in helping Ukraine reclaim Crimea. The first F-16s are expected to be in Ukraine within weeks, according to reports on Friday.
Crimea holds great symbolic significance. Retaking it would be a major blow to Putin.
U.S. Air Fighter jet F-16 jetfighters will be part of Ukraine new Air Forces plan.
US F-16s will have a big impact in helping Ukraine reclaim Crimea, an analyst told BI,
first F-16s are expected to be in Ukraine within weeks, according to reports on Friday.
The delivery of US-made F-16s is crucial role in Ukraine's attempts to take back occupied Crimea from Putin war plan, a defense expert told Business insider. Frederik Mertens, a Strategic Analyst at the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies is
sayind striking Russian ground-based air defense.
(GBAD)systems, can help Ukraine is "preparing the ground" for future air strikes once F-16 fighters arrive.
Denmark previously said it would begin transferring its aircraft in the summer. Norway and Belgium have also pledged F-16s to Ukraine. Denmark, the US, the UK, France and Romania are helping train Ukrainian pilots.

"We nust be careful not to overestimate the impact of limited number of F-16 fighters, Ukraine has" Mertens said, adding that "the land front is vast there & a lot of Russians to kill." But Crimea was "vulnerable," especially when it comes to attacks from F-16 fighters, he said.
"The Russians have relatively limited maneuver space on the peninsula, resupply is dependent on the Kerch bridge, and here, Putin has a lot to lose both politically and militarily," he said.
"If with a limited number of fighters can have a real impact, it is here and above the Black Sea that becomes fully accessible once the GBAD on the Crimea are dealt with."...

Production Tempo at Su-35S and Su-57 Assembly Lines in russia Look Nothing Like You'd Expect From a Country at War
May 10, 2024 36688 Production of Su-35 and Su-57 aircraft at the premises of KnAAZ, spring 2024
A glimpse at the current situation in the industry of making russia's top-tier aviation
Quite an unusual situation occurred where screenshots of a video made by russian propaganda in April 2024 have surfaced just recently in social media.
The video clip shows assembly lines of Su-35S and Su-57 production taking place at the KnAAZ aircraft factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, russia.
There are some details that make it still relevant especially considering these might be the first pictures showing the combat aviation industry in russia appearing online since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Some frames indicate that some of Moscow's theses about having switched over to a wartime economy are clear overstatements.

Along with stealth and maneuverability, the arsenal of weapons each of these modern fighter jets can carry is critical when making a comparison. Regarding capacity, the Su-57 has more space in its weapon bays than the F-22. With a larger capacity, the Russian Felon can hold up to eight K77 air-to-air missiles. Conversely, the Raptor can only hold half that number of AMRAAM air-to-air missiles in its internal weapon bay.
Looking at air-to-ground capability, the F-22 can carry a number of smaller munitions like a 1,000-pound or 250-pound bomb, it isn't an ideal choice due to limited space.
Su-57, with superior capacity, could hold more munitions as a result, be effective at air-to-ground engagements. Russian fighter can be equipped with tools such as KAB-500, bomb with a penetrating warhead, and PBK-500U Drel, cluster bomb smart enough to identify enemies from allies.
At sea, the Su-57 can employ Kh-35U anti-ship cruise missiles that travel just 13 feet above the water for distances of up to 155 miles before making contact with their target. So, while the Raptor reigns supreme in air-to-air fighting, the Felon can adapt to both air-to-air and air-to-ground combat. Both jets come equipped with other weaponry, such as the F-22s internal M61A2 20 mm gun and the Su-57s 9A1-4071K 30mm autocannon. The Su-57 also uses an IR-guided missile system, while the F-22 relies on AMRAAM medium-range missiles.

Brig. Gen. Yury Halushkin, commander of joint forces Kharkiv, the top HQ for Ukrainian troops deployed opposite Russia’s Belgorod Oblast,
was relieved of duties some 72 hours after Kremlin forces pushed cross the border to grab at least five villages & break into the regional town of Vovchansk.

These retreated when hit by Kremlin tanks and artillery.
This defeat gave Russian forces estimated 162 square kilometers of border territory and ten villages in a pair of 5-8 kilometer-deep salients projecting into Ukrainian defenses. Although the Russian advance overran a thinly populated region with no industry and appeared not to threaten Ukraine’s second-biggest city, Kharkiv, 30 kilometers to the south, it Ukraine’s worst loss of ground to Russia since March 2022.
