I don't think it's good to have too big a car industry ...it's high capital and low margins. 

It is highly cyclical and prone to large layoffs 
The jobs created are factory worker jobs...when they find a cheaper group of workers in another country they lay off your workers

Can u imagine every politicians thinking like u?
Everyone will be doing e-commerce and traders and WFH. All become strawberries...
