Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, NASA astronauts part of the Crew-9 mission, returned to Earth aboard SpaceX's Dragon Freedom on Tuesday after a nine-month overstay at the International Space Station (ISS). Their presence in space & safe return caught global attention as short mission was turned into a mths-long ordeal.
Focus now shifts to their scientific discoveries & the physical challenges they endured in space. NASA spokesperson Cheryl Warner said the crew will remain at Johnson Space Ctr for health monitoring by agency's flight surgeons as they readapt to Earth’s gravity. There crew will be able to interact with their families, once cleared, return to normal life on Earth, he added.
