I don't know why peiple are so angry with what I said but I want to break down the logic more clearly.

1. The tariff US was implementing was absurd 24% average across all nations. This translate to $+709B tax on imports.

2. Some with a cool head can see that it is unlikely US can endure such a ridiculous tariffs for long. US market and economy will be crushed

3. Instead of rushing to retaliate, a better strategy would be to announce you will retaliate if tariffs not removed in 30days...but don't say what retaliation.

4. Within 30days the market and economy will be so bad Trump would have no choice and U turn

5. That will give a win to China.
