singapore need to control number of vehicle coming in from malaysia. put serious control of vehicle via coe but allow non singapore car to enter with $35 per day after free first 10days. that is 355*35 = $12425 per year.
now singapore pte car pay various taxes which is more then 100% of omv. so a car of omv 20k pay at least 20k tax. then there is coe which has been at lowest 50k to 100k+
why such a rule where tax punish locals vehicle purchase but allow foreigners to drive in at much lower cost.
is it silly to say to control demand where demand are let in freely?
