'twas in Kota Tinggi where we came across this makeshift advertising board, some six feet above my height and i had to pull out me zoom lens to read the signage.

Phrase Hint - what should / should not have been done....?

It's a challenge for visitors to crane their head n look at the ad board. Given its less contrasting colours ppl could give it a miss. Put it up at human eye level for ease of visibility with reflective materials. 

As for the lamp post it is quite near to the tree and branches may prove a hindrance for maintenance works. Install each lamp posts at standard spacing and away from the trees. The equal spacing apart of the lamp posts will give ample light at night for any board signs to be easily read if there are between them.

Signage too high..
Should lower with bigger board.

Lamp pole cable too near the trees.
Dangerous during heavy rainfall with strong wind.
The trees should be further behind the cables.

Signboard - Repair clogged toilet..

Too high up there to be readable?., 

Should be more noticeable if put it near the shelter pavilion on the left?.,

Lol!.. Wondering if they hired a monkey to put the signboard up there?., 

The advertisement signage serves no purpose as it is not legible. It should have been fixed at eye level.

IMO, the reason for fixing the signage so high is because Kota Tinggi is well known for (sometimes annually) floods, not ponding. The flood water level can rise to an unbelievable height. This prompted the advertiser to fix the signage at that height.
