Will be going there for a short trip again. Improved, but still a long way to go. Children used to roam the streets at night.

Really shithouse place especially Manila. Traffic jams every day and robbery is common affair. While I was there walking on the street in broad daylight, there were always a few thug looking characters following behind making my trip really uncomfortable. Heard from some of my Philippine project crew that it is common to see dead bodies along Roxas Boulevard in the early hours during Marcos's time. ....
