That is what I thilnk will happen, if China were to hit Taiwan...........USA will interfere and start a nuclear war, which is detrimental to the whole world.........

US has signed treaty to assist the defense of Republic of China govt.
Not  Republic of Taiwan or any other name.
Also assist the defense is a grey term, no necessary be physically involved.
US can always get its allies to impose sanctions than get millions or billions killed and radiated. 

We can only hope US politicians have a clear picture, do not pull rest of the world down.
