I've taken Japanese and China HSR.... China cheaper and much nicer. I took HSR from Chengdu to northern Sichuan dragon mountain about 2 hours only S$3. Seats were better than Japan ones which I paid $460.

Japan is quite disappointed. Back in good old days they are always No 1 come technology etc but some how over the years they seem like tone down
