You are not reading things correctly, whatever he prefers is in his own capacity

IAM not even saying what the PAP govt by sanctioning Russia is even the right thing to do, because like TKL, IAM a commoner

I will take this into account when I vote in the next GE and if I do not like that Russia was sanctioned, I may take this into consideration when I vote

Same thing for TKL, there is no such thing as whatever the PAP govt do, he must agree, even as a President

That is the reason why great people do great things, and they have their own mind, and when he is elected, he will have his own baseline

Not to interfere with Foreign policy does not mean must agree with the policy, but it is not in his position of President to be in tangent with the govt if he is elected

That does not mean he must declare his position with regards to Russian sanctions and the Ukraine offensive 

In fact, it is the general view of most Sinkiepooreans (excluding you) that our govt should not have sanctioned Russia, as it is really non of our business to take sides

Whatever reason Vivi gave that we follow the rule of law and we are a small nation, is very misguided

Even China, the 2nd super power, does not sanction Russia

In the existing political climate and the fact that majority of our neighbouring countries are behind China and look to China for a direction in China's stance with Russia and follow accordingly, we as a small nation must not rock the boat, as it is NOT to our benefit to antagonize Russia

We should remain neutral at all costs

If he remains as a commoner like you and me. Nobody cares about his personal views.

But as a candidate aspire to be a Singapore Head of State President. 
He has the responsibility to come out clean with all voters. Speak the Truth and Not Hide his views about issues on Sovereignty of a UN Charter nation.

Our President views are very important to our country future direction and fate. It is not about himself. But the our lives and past efforts in building Singapore in the world stage. 

This is a very serious issue and not a game. Whether you like to play against Singaporean or your favourite word "Sinkiepooreans".

No one has the rights to interfere with Singaporean voting rights. If He/She looking down on Singaporean as a "Sinkiepooreans"

Maybe only a undesirable foreign actors will do it, inorder to stir the division among Singaporean voters. 
A perfect opportunity in this PE, with a Presidential Candidate that truly supports Russia invasion of Ukraine.
