Iswaran faces 27 charges in total, of which two are for corruption.
The corruption charges allege that in September and December 2022, Iswaran obtained from Ong Beng Seng gratification worth more than S$166,200 to advance Ong's business interests in relation to a contract between Singapore GP and the Singapore Tourism Board.
The second charge includes a proposal for a contract with the tourism board.

Iswaran has resigned as a Cabinet minister and a member of the PAP. He is also resigning as a MP for West Coast GRC.
"On Jan 17, Mr Iswaran further informed me that he would return all monies received by way of salary as minister and allowances as MP from the commencement of the CPIB’s investigations in July 2023.
"Since Mr Iswaran has now resigned, he will henceforth no longer receive any salary or allowance from the government," said a statement by the Prime Minister's Office.
