Some say the seat belt sign comes on. No announcement.  The pilot goes on the ascending which seems to be the right way to go. When the shaking continues for some time, the pilot will think of ways to get out.

Quite a few passengers complain there was no warning from the pilots throughout the event, seatbelt signs were not on…likely because the pilots were struggling to control the flight
