Saudi will take Yuan payment and buy China treasury. 
Provided China can station troops in Saudi and protect their kingdom from invaders. 
Sell all Chinese military hardware to Saudi. Including nuclear weapons. So Saudi can be the King of ME again. .

The US dollar is unlikely to dominate 50yrs from now but 10-20yrs it will still be dominant 

The Chjnese Securities and equity market is not as open as the US because the CCP does not want too much foreign influence over their markets. ...look at what happen during Asian crisis. Even the Yuan they maintain onshore and off shore version to keep speculators from attacking the financial system.

The US is willing to cede control over its market by making it very open. Anyone can just go and buy stocks, land and companies ...Saudi owns AMD, large % of nvidia etc. 

You just don't get all these from other economies and currencies
