Hundreds  and thousands of residents of Pyin Oo Lwin garrison town in Mandalay Region – have been fleeing since Thursday due to fears of an imminent attack by an ethnic army and allied resistance forces. Family members of military personnel stationed in town. Home to Defense Service Academies & other military training schools, were among first to start fleeing town, about 70 k/m east of the country’s second-largest city, Mandalay, residents say as Hundreds of vehicles is seen jamming eastern entrance to Mandalay on Thursday as exodus from Pyin Oo Lwin accelerated, witnesses said is 1 of the first among afew more threaten on Junta no-1 boss.

The garrison town has be under threat since fall of HQ of junta’s North Eastern Military Command in Lashio, capital of northern Shan State, to Brotherhood Alliance & allied resistance groups coordinating Operation 1027. Operation 1027 resumed in northern Shan State on June 25.
